at the beginning of the series, he loved Tohru as a mom. but at the end of the series, he meets a girl named Machi, who is one of the secrataries in the Student Council at their school, and they start dating at the end of the series. ayame buys an apartment or a house for him and yuki gives machi a key.
No. The show was cancelled because the lady writing the manga broke her arm, causing it to be postponed. The anime couldn't wait so they adapted, but things were too different, causing the writer to get upset and cancel the show; dissapointing many people. It's sad but atleast the manga was finished. It's a very good manga overall. ^.^
Kyo Sohma is in love with Tohru Honda, and while it may appear that Yuki Sohma also likes her, Yuki thinks of Tohru as the kind mother-figure his own mother never was. Yuki tells his friend that Tohru is his 'mother', which sprouts a whole variety of jokes.

What happens in episode 26 of the anime, happens at the beginning of the 6th manga. But the anime changes it up a bit of what happens in the 26th episode. I hope that answers your question :)
No, he was going out with Rin Sohma, who is only shown in the manga, and they slept together for a long time! And she's like 19, she was older than him! And Rin loved him so much, that she broke up with him, because Akito would hurt him otherwise (Akito doesn't like the members of the zodiac in relationships) and she did it to protect him, and Hatsuharu still loved Rin too. In the end, they finally get back together. No he is not gay, he loves Rin and she loves him too.
In Volume 6, Chapter 32 Kyo turns into his true form.
Well, there may be. I'm not sure of one that is exactly like Fruits Basket, but I know of one that relates to it. Here it is : Ouran High School Host Club. It's about a girl who is like Tohru in a way, and she helps these boys. Enjoy and I hope I helped! [Also, I'm not sure if Ouran High School Host Club is an anime, but I'm sure that it is a manga series.]
No. Never. Well, actually, he kisses her on the forehead at one point. And he said he loves her, but not in that way! I promise! It may sound a little odd, but he loves Tohru as a MOTHER! He even told Kakeru Manabe that! He always saw her as the mother he never had. She was a mother-like figure to him. Yuki ends up with Machi Kuragi, a girl from the student council, and he kisses her, plus gives her the key to his new apartment in the very end of the manga. Tohru ends up with Kyo, and they kissed
technically she doesnt but the curse does break.
-----
if she didn't what the point of her being in the story, but then again she did help Kyo and she has they really good meaning pharse
---------------------------------------------------------------------------(Edit by someone else)
Yes, she did. Then way to break the curse was if someone loved the cat, TRULY loved the cat. Unlike Shishou's grandmother, Tohru didn't pity Kyo. She truly loved and accepted him. And he loved her back. The cat is considered a "monster", so hopeless, pathetic, and terrifying to ever be loved. (According to the Sohmas) It seemed almost impossible to break the curse.
Because they have to (Ive read the whole manga so I know). She (YES, SHE. READ THE MANGA. VOLUME 17) is god of the Chinese zodiac. So, therefore, they have to do what she says.
Yes, in episode 194. It is by accident of course, but still fun.
And the person who previously changed my answer should stop. Actually watch the episode before assuming you know everything about it.
The spell is broken and everyone is happy. Akito confesses she is a woman, and that her mother forced her to grow up as a man because she didn't believe a woman should be the head of the family (only Ayame, Shigure, and Hatori already knew. And Kureno, who told Tohru before everyone else). Kyo tells Tohru his part in her mother's death, And Tohru confesses her love for him. She makes friends with Akito, but then falls off a cliff, Kyo kisses her while she is unconscious, and when she comes out of the hospital, they kiss. Yuki tells Tohru that he always thought of her as a mother figure, and that everybody loves her. Later on, Kyo and Tohru move far away to a dojo, so later Kyo can inherit his Master's dojo, at the end it shows them when they are older together, and they have a granddaughter. They get married obviously, it just doesn't show. I think they have a son, in the middle of 23, it shows Kyo with a son looking just like him "Kyo will make a great father", and a woman they show in the end is probably his wife. Everyone graduates from High School. And Yuki also gets a girlfriend, Machi, and he gives her the key to his new apartment. Everyone gets coupled up except for Kagura and Momiji (who really liked Tohru as in girlfriend-like)
The ending couples are:
Hatori and Mayu
Kyo and Tohru
Hatsuharu (Haru) and Rin
Yuki and Machi (the girl from the student council)
Kureno and Uo
Akito and Shigure
Ayaame and Mine
Kisa and Hiro
Ritsu and Shigure's editor!
And Hanajima and Kyo's Master sorta end up together. (She ends up working for him. The end sort of doesn't tell you everything though.)
It is also said that Yuki and Machi may have had a daughter and married Kyo and Tohru's son, but I'm not totally sure, I just saw someone said supposedly, but the author didn't really say. But Tohru and Kyo did have a son it showed a bit into the future.
he went into the bathroom and uhmm well dropped his trousers haha he had to prove that everything matched haha
I think you've got this wrong do you mean why is Akito so protective over Yuki? If that's what you mean it is because traditionally the rat was the favorite because he arrived at the feast first. Akito is very protective over Yuki because he could as Yuki's parents basically gave Yuki to Akito to gain his favour and so Akito pretty much owned Yuki while he was younger and used this power to make his life misserable.

No I'm sure of it, he only hugged her to prove that his curse had broken, and then rested his forehead on hers whilst he was crying over loving Uotani and being unable to see her.
The optimistic Tohru Honda is the main character. She was orphaned when her mother died in a car crash. She lived with her grandfather. When he had to have his home remodeled, she went to stay in a tent so not to be a burden on anyone. Through a chain of events, which included her tent being destroyed, she came to stay with some members of the Sohma family. This is where the story began to really develop. http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/thumb/c/ce/230px-FB_tohru3.jpg
Yes, but not in the anime. Only in the manga. Lets see, Rin and Haru kiss a couple of times, Yuki and Machi (the girl from the student council) kiss I think once, Kyo kisses Tohru when she is unconscious, and then they kiss again when she's awake one day, and Shigure and Akito kiss once, (Akito is really a woman), and I think that's it.
The original (Japanese) manga finished because the story ended. I have no idea where the licensed english releases are right now, but it will sooner or later catch up and end as well. The anime ended because it followed a sort of different story-line as compared to the original manga source, though it could also be said that the anime ending was "open" since it really didn't feel "conclusive" and not all members of the zodiac appeared.
The rooster's name is Kureno, but we never see him transformed, for reasons explained in the manga.
The horse's name is Isuzu, or Rin, as she is better known by.
Neither of these characters are in the anime--they are only present in the manga series.
