Why is an outline essential to any type of writing?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Outlines are an invaluable tool for many forms of communications. For a speech, however, it can be crucial. When speaking, it is imperative to keep your focus and to keep your aucience interested. An outline can do both of these things. A good outline will help you touch on all the major points of your speech as well as the supportive information. It can also keep you focused on the initial point or points of your speech. Finally, when you have a good outline you can see the flow of the speech. Is it flowing nicely? Is it consistent with the point you need to make? Is it too long or too short?

What is better a mechanical pencil or a normal wood pencil?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Of course, a mechanical pencil is better because it has a skinnier lead tip so it makes it much easier to write. Wood pencils have larger, wider tips which wear down easily if you tend to write on a slant. Plus, mechanical pencils last much longer as long as you have lead with you for refills.

What is the use of oral report writing?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

You don't. If it's written, it's not an oral report. Frer34: Technically, that is true. However, there are a few steps to take to help prepare for one. 1. Choose a topic. 2. Research topic. 3. Write thesis statement. 4. Write outline for your report. 5. Gather a small page of notes to use when you give your report. 6. Practice report by yourself, in a mirror, and for other people. This helps you get feedback on what you are doing right and what you need to work on. 7. Give your report with your notes in hand. IMPORTANT!! Do not make your notes too big, or you won't be giving an oral report. Instead, you will be giving a private reading of an essay. Keep your outline and your notes short and simple enough to cover what you want to talk about while keeping major details in your noggin.

An example of an introduction?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Before I begin to answer your question, perhaps I should make a few remarks about asking questions. Questions should be full sentences. "An example of an introduction" is not a full sentence. I am assuming that your question is "What is an example of an intoduction?", although it could be "How do you write an example of an introduction?", or "Is Paradise Lost an example of an introduction?"

Now, to answer your question, or what I presume to be your question. What is an example of an introduction? That was.
