What STD can cause groin pain?

There isn't a STI that specifically causes your breasts to hurt.

This could simply be the result of an impending period, as many women find that the monthly hormonal changes cause their breasts to become a bit fuller and thus more painful.

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

If you're talking about babies, then it is mostly because their butt muscles has not got used to pooping when it is best. So they just poop it out when they need it before they cry because they can't find a toilet. If your not talking about babies, the please do not waste a question for Wiki Answers. They have to pay money for each question someone makes. Don't waste peoples time and money.

What could cause a tight burning pain in my upper right arm that extends down to my fingers?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

First of all: I'm not a doctor, but was suffering from continuous pains in shoulder, fixed it all myself by reading literature and consulting with real doctors. Be warned.

Possible causes that I think of are: a trauma, a strained muscle, a posture deficiency, and a myofascial trigger point. Or all four together. You probably should visit an orthopaedist first, to check out if you have any posture deficiency, no matter whether it is caused by trauma or not. If you do, then you'll probably be prescribed some corrective treatment, a series of exercises and stretches. It is usually because of posture deficiencies (a short leg, scoliosis, kyphosis etc) one group of muscles is overloaded, and another is overstrained. The latter causes continuous pain. If that is your case, then first identifying, and then stretching the group that is overloaded, and also exercising the weak, overstrained muscles should help immediately within 1-3 days. However, don't do that without consulting a doctor first.

"The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook" by C.Davies Good answer by the first person, I would only add that referred pain can be the result of neurological or vascular injury as well, and should be evaluated by a doctor before undertaking any self-help regimen, as these can result in permanent injury. Some of the things done to relieve muscle strain can aggravate these conditions, so you should have a more definitive diagnosis before undertaking them.

What do you do for sore arm?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Continuing to work those sore muscles is what you shouldn't do. By continuing to workout, you put too much pressure on the muscles and instead of being strengthen, you tire them and they will rip therefore you'll have to see a doctor and you can't exercise for 1-2 months. And when your muscles are sore, give them days of rest until they aren't sore anymore, eating food will determine the energy for the sore muscles, and stretch them to make the pain go away.

How do you treat a forearm hairline fracture?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Hairline fractures can also occur when there is a sudden change in the way physical activity is performed. For example, if an athlete who usually runs on grass, suddenly begins running on concrete, he/she could develop a hairline fracture.

Even a change in the intensity with which an activity is carried out can lead to a hairline fracture. For example, if a person who usually walks two kilometers on average suddenly decides to run for those two kilometers, they may develop a hairline fracture.

To treat a hairline or stress fracture a doctor will usually recommend the use of crutches or a cast to keep the weight off the injured part of the body. Along with some medication for the pain and to prevent infection, this is a good non-surgical approach to treating a hairline fracture.

In some cases, however, surgery may be recommended. Here the basic idea is to support the bone to help it heal. This is done by inserting screws or plates (usually in the foot) to keep the bones together.

Ranka Hospital, Pune provides treatment and facilities for hairline fracture.

What causes pins and needles in left leg constantly?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

You may not be getting excellent blood flow to your right leg, or you may be pinching or placing pressure on a key nerve to the area. You may want to make an appointment with your physician sometime soon to get it checked out.

However, a pins and needles sensation can also be caused by something serious, such as DVT: Deep Vein Thrombosis or a blood clot. If this condition is occurring while you are on bedrest, just coming off of bedrest, were hospitalized, or are generally immobile for long periods of time (traveling for business on aircraft, etc...) you may be at risk. Please call your doctor at his/her office number to schedule an appointment or to ask for his/her advice if you have the above risk factors.

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Sorry, but there are no muscles to speak of in your ankle. If your experiencing chronic soreness, wight loss will help considerably.

Actually, there is a way. There's an excercise where you stand, point one foot out and lift it off the ground. You then point it downwards, then upwards. You repeat this as neccessary. Point, flex, point, flex. Switch to the other foot.

What does a HLA-B27 blood test detect?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

This is a blood test to detect the presence of HLA-B27 in white blood cells.

The test is conducted to look for specific protein found on the surface of white blood cells. The protein is called human leukocyte antigen B27 (HLA-B27) that help the body's immune system tell the difference between its own cells and foreign, harmful substances.

The test is referred when you have symptoms of chronic inflammation, pain, and stiffness in certain areas of your body, such as your back, neck, and chest, or eyes, especially if you are male. A positive test means HLA-B27 is present. It suggests a greater-than-average risk for developing Ankylosing spondylitis, Reiter syndrome or Sacroiliitis (inflammation of the sacroiliac joint).

If HLA-B27 is not present, then the association is not there.
