My 99 gmc suburban is stuck in 4 wheel drice low
A/C Delco only, are you will have troubles again soon.
Replace it. It is located somewhere on the brake pedal lever..
The BPL is not intended for recreation use. Most installers should be advised by a BPL professional. If, in rare cases the left felangey is not appropriately wired, it can be replaced with a red brake wire from a 323 Cessna ...
Same as a 96 blazer go here. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_replace_the_blower_motor_on_a_1996_Chevy_blazer
No 1995 was a transition year from the 1993-1994 OBD-1 to the 1996 and up OBD2. A 4L60E out of a 1995 has to be in another 1995.
You can view the 1999 Mercury Cougar owners manual online at : www . motorcraft service . com ( no spaces ) Click on Owner Guides ( the fuses and relays section starts on page 152 , it has the diagrams and lists ) The manual shows that ( Relay R1 / black color / is the fuel pump relay ) located...
An Inertia Switch is strictly a Ford thing, my friend. Your Impala uses a fuel pump relay that's activated by the PCM to control fuel pump output.
Nothing. If they're both 4L60Es then they're the exact same. The Astros and some Silverados and most Tahoes used the same tranny.
\nPossibly the lock-up torque converter solenoid is sticking..
\nDisconnect the wire to the lockup converter.
\nIt's possible that when you first try to start up the computer, you're not depressing the button firmly enough. I had that problem with a laptop ... I'd push the button, then turn away doing something else and when I turned around again, it hasn't booted up. So I depressed the button...
The 1992 did not use a crankshaft sensor.
A 1999 Chevrolet Blazer 2 dr fuel tank holds 19 US gallons.
change the fuel pump relay if you which to see how bad it is take off the cover you will need an eye piece to see the damage to the contacts inside .
coolant no were near the oil pump/pan..
because if mix that it will stuff up your radioator and blow your engine up. radiotors arent CHEAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Coolant won't get in oil pan froma water pump but it can from bad intake gaskets, head gaskets or a cracked head.
You have to strip the rear area behind your seats and continue to you see your fuel tank. There you will find a oval plate with about 10 8mm bolts. Be Very Careful. Highly Flammable. DJ FLIP Housepartykings.com
Will it bolt right in? No. Can it be done? Yes. Anything, can be done to any vehicle, at any time. That is hot rodding. And, part of hot rodding, is vision. If you can see it, you can do it. And installing it would be a form of hot rodding, called customizing. That is how Chip Foose, Boyd Coddington...
1/2 tons have the 4L60E in them. 3/4 tons used the 4L80E trans.
BAB BLINKER .

Drivers side exhaust pipe just after the exhaust manifold. Best reached from underneath.
\nThe sound is called moosing. It's usually an indication that either the IAC valve (Idle Air Control) valve or a sensor is going bad.
REMOVE THE 11 MM HEADED BOLT ON THE LOWER STEERING I SHAFT, BOTH POWER STEERING HOSES 18MM WRENCH, REMOVE THE PITNAM ARM FROM THE INNER TIE ROD END ASSY, THE 3 BOLTS ON THE DR SIDE OF THE FRAME. YOU WILL NEED A PITNAM ARM PULLER. REVERSE THE PROCEDURE AND HAVE THE TOE SET ON THE ALIGNMENT
You blew your transmission, took out the reverse gear. You'll have to take it to a tranny shop and get it rebuilt (not cheap), or replace it yourself with one from a scrap yard. ($600 in parts, a weekend to do it)
Dont know about a 91,but I had a 68 half ton Chevy 4x4 with a steel bed on it,and I wired 4x4 blocks of wood onto the rear axle housing,to keep the bed from sitting on the tires, and I hauled a full 500 gallon water tank on it several times.at 8 pounds per gallon, that's 2 tons. it also had a 292 6...
Simply log online to: Jim's Ask A Tech This is a legit site and very informative. i just changed my distributor cap yesterday on a 98 Dakota 3.9L from the passenger side looking at the cap the post in front of the screw is 1 they go clockwise around the cap 1,2,3,4,5,6, the plugs are located as...
4.8 liters = 292.9 cubic inches.
the fuel pump on your 96 Tahoe 4x4 is locateed in the fuel tank.
otop of the throttle body under the air cleaner
250k miles. Engines will run forever but trannies go out around 180k, and then there's just piddly stuff.
you should not need to change it, it is not like a belt that needs to be changed at a specific mileage, you might change it when you overhaul the engine.
I have a 1992 Chevy S10 pick up and the fuel pump on my truck is inside the gas tank.
There is no engine from 1998 without fuel injection. If You have an older engine, the pump is boltet at the lower engine side. it is just two bolts and easy to install. It is wise to change the seal, because it often break when you unbolt the pump.
We do alot of them at work and we drop the tank but, we are also working on a lift.
\n o2 sensors \n.
\nJack up and secure your vehicle. There are two front O2 sensors. One comes out of the left side exhaust manifold and one out of the right side exhaust manifold. Once you get under the vehicle, you can spot them. The left one may be slightly hidden by the middle frame...
There should be a door under the front bumper. Open that door and the oil filter's right there. Easy.
It is inside the HVAC box which is behind the dash assembly. The entire dash assembly must be removed to gain access to the HVAC box. Too many steps involved for removal to list here. If you intend on doing the job yourself I would recomend purchasing a shop manual for that vehicle to guide you.
If it doesn't turn over: Might be: weak or dead battery Loose or corroded batery cables Starter solenoid Neutral switch but they have a fuel pump resistor in front the radiatior, if its bad the car will crank but the pump will not supply fuel
Check the multifunction lever sounds like "Flash to pass" is not disengaging
Not sure, but try looking up under the dash on the passenger side. If it is like my 2001 silverado, then there is a large black plastic cover you have to take off - I think there are 7 Phillips screws holding it on. Then look for a black cover that's about 1"x4" around the middle of the...
There is a retaining clip that has to be removed from behind the handle for it to come off. Your auto parts store can sell you an inexpensive tool to do that job without damaging the handle and door panel, probably for less than $10.
It is screewed into the intake manifold right beside the thermostat housing.
It is on because there is a problem with the Antilock Brake System (ABS).
undo the hoses and should only be a few screws to loosen to take it off, should be very easy
Front of throttle body. All one piece, and wiring plugs in on passenger side
It depends on what your vehicle is.
i need to know the wiring diagram for the brake switch .. it has six post divided into two plugs
\nIt is located in the fuse box. It is a round cylinder about 1" in diameter. I would suggest you replace it with a heavy duty flasher if you plan on towing.
If you're referring to the black plastic canister, with the two hard plastic lines running into the top of it, located behind the driver's side headlight, that resembles a 1lb coffee can, that's called the "Vapor Canister".
The thermostat is the most likely cause, other than that the temp sensor could have failed sending the wrong temp reading to the gauge.
It is screewed into the top of the engine block right behind the distributor. About 3 inches long with an electric wire pluged into the end of it. HARD TO SEE and to remove.
It does not have a CABLE. It is controlled by the speed sensors / computer controlled.
I own a 92 with the same problem. You have to gain access from underneath with a socket wrench and long extensions to take off the top part of the release that is mounted to the underneath of the hood. I have the cable dropped down with a plastic "T" Handle tied to the end of the cable...
3/4 ton has 8 lugs per wheel and 1/2 tons have 6 per wheel.
find your fuse , probably in the passenger side glove compartment. thers a fuse marked ecm. i like to disconnect my negative battery terminal first. take out the ecm fuse. wait 20 minutes , then reconnect ecm fuse, and then the battery. let engine sit in park while running for 20 minutes...
\nthere is no fuel reset button . there is a fuse in engine compartment against the fire wall in the center next to relays with a plastic water proof cover over it possible under the plastic dress up cover that covers the harness (if it wasnt already removed and tossed away )
That means it is not a 4-wheel drive. It has 4 wheels on it and 2 in the rear that pulls.
Either a bad ground to the guage itself or a bad voltage regulator in the alternator. While the enigine is running check the voltage at the battery it should be around 13.5volts if it constantly fluctuates then the voltage regulator is probably bad. Replace the alternator. ...
Ask him/her to step out. :D
A solid axel swap to improve your stock junk set up: Remove entire front cross member holding your A arms and everything connected to it, shocks, steering, torsion bars, brake lines and drive shaft. Clean the frame up. Center soild axel under front end where you want it probably the same position...
That would be the 4L60E transmission.
The VSS is located in the top left hand side of the transfer case.
The fuel filter is located along the inside of the driver's side frame rail.
When engaged in four wheel drive light flashes but wont engage the shaft locks but no four wheel actuator is not pushing out in my 97 tahoe?

the air conditioner kicking on and off will do it too/;p
This indicates the brakes are not working correctly and the computer that controls them needs to be checked with a scan tool to determine why. This is a very dangerous situation, get it checked and fix it.

Could be lots of things. How bad is bad? Should be getting 15+
You probably have wires that are burning. You should have the vehicle repaired by a professional before you have a breakdown or a fire.
Located at front driverside fender inside the engine bay
Leaky gaskets(oil pan, valve covers, rear main seal, etc), or worn valve guides or bad piston rings. My 89 Chevy 1500 4.3l v6 has 203,000 miles and uses virtually zero oil.
Probably computer controlled and not adjustable
\nIf it is a 2.0 dohc 16 valve engine it is on the front driver side of valve cover. You will need to remove plastic air intake hose.
I just did this yesterday. .
Take wheel off .
Take big axle nut off (this may be hard, those suckers are tight) .
Take brake caliper off .
Take brake rotor off .
Take 3 bolts for wheel bearing/hub assembly out, pull assembly out. Check for play, this may be a good thing to replace while you're in...
No. Definitely No. An Unequalable No.
Will 24's fit on a 2006 Chevy trailblazer
There are many possible reasons. You would need to provide some more detail on the vehicle (Year) and is the remote start "Factory" installed? Do the exterior lights on the vehicle flash when the remote start is activated? Is the "Check/Service engine" light on? The more info the better.....
the order is : 15426378
You would find the drain plug at the lowest point of the oil pan. It would require a 15mm wrench to r&r the plug.
It will take a 15mm socket to r&r them.
you need to check the icm in the distributor it has the power to the fuel pump that goes through it on start up. As long as the relay and fuses are good.
Fuse in the Power distribution block?
I have found that if you put rainex on the windshield everytime you change your oil you will not have that problem.
i believe the long bed is fully 8'0" inside, whereas the short bed is approx 6'0"
After fuse (should be labeled).
Try bulbs and defective stop light switch
It takes 3.5 quarts answer from Haynes manual under 4 cylinder engines 1982-1993 .I use 3.5 quarts in my 2.5 s-series engine .Pour a little in the oil filter out of the 3.5 quarts .Drive around and check it again to see if its low.
This could be several problems.#1 Check vaccum canister for leaks or no vaccum from engine. #2 Check vaccum switch at controler (made of plastic has a tendency to fale ) which causes doors in dash not to open all the way and you have minimal amount of air coming from vents.#3 Someone put the wrong...
Should be a procedure outlined in owner's manual has something to do with the parking brake - sorry don't remember any more.
Depress the parking brake pedal to its first click. That should turn off the headlights without actually engaging the brakes. Just release the parking...
Want to sea foam my 2002 Chevy 2500hd 6.0 what vacuum hose do I use
\nIt is in the drivers side head. It's between 1 and 3 cyl. Although, you need a special tool for the plug, because it is 5/8. It looks 3/8 but it isn't.\nChristian
