As a band...no. But some former members of the band do. Like Roger Waters, I recommend to follow his Twitter or Facebook. But David stopped touring for some time. I think he needs a break. But you can occasionally hear about Nick touring with his band called Nick Mason's A Saucerful Of Secrets. There was one time when Nick invited Roger to perform one song with this band. They performed Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun....what a surprise. But this performance was amazing. And it was breathtaking to see Roger and Nick together on the stage and also to see Roger share the stage with the guy who replaced him in Pink Floyd. Rare moments for fans to see at least two members of Pink Floyd together.
Mostly known for Progressive Rock.
But all I remember they did or tried to experiment with these genres are: Psychedelic rock (Barrett Era and the Era of Progressive Experiments), Progressive rock, Experimental rock, Post-Prog, Experimental music, Alternative, Space rock, Folk, Avantgarde rock, they tried some of Jazz, Blues-rock (The Dogs Of War for example), Blues (Seamus).
But their music can be classified as blues-based progressive rock which you can clearly hear in songs like Pigs (Three Different Ones), Sheep, It's What We Do or even Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts 1-5) and Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts 6-9).
The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn and A Saucerful Of Secrets. But when it comes to compilation albums Relics, The Early Years 1965-1967 CAMBRIDGE ST/ATION, Echoes: The Best Of Pink Floyd, A Foot In The Door. From all the ones I remember right now. Might edit this answer when I remember more.
Well if you have Spotify you can check the amount of monthly listeners and the position of the band in the world rankings if it's written on their Spotify page. But answering your question Metallica is more popular.

Screaming and telling him why he wasnt coming up on freely.
It came as a heavy blow, but we sorted the matter out
first of all, I think you mean "Who is the singer in pink Floyd", and second of all they all sang on a record exsept for their drum nick mason. Syd barret started of on lead vocals for pink Floyd in their debut album "the piper at the gates of dawn" and sang lead vocals on the last track (jug band blues) on their second album a sucerful of secrests. then David Gilmoore and Roger Waters sang the majority of the songs (some like hey you both on the same recording, like on the Beatles "A day in the life") with the occasional performance from their pianist/keyboardist Richard wright (most famously on echoes, Us and them and (with david Gilmoore) time) up until roger left pink Floyd, then david and the occasianal rick sang. there was only one occasion where someone who wasn't considered a band member of pink Floyd sang lead vocals which was when roy Harper was recording next to pink Floyd in abbey road and neither roger nor david could sing this song they had (it was have a cigar which appeard on wish you were here and was released as a single in some places, with the b-sides either shine on you crazy dimond part 1 (parts 1-5) or welcome to machien)
Pink Floyd basically used the standard guitar, bass, and drums set up, but was known to use other instruments such as the keyboards, saxophone, and a wide variety of other non-instrument objects to create diverse sound effects.
The song Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd can be found on the album of the same name. The album was the bands 9th studio album and was released in September 1975.
Billy Joel's 1983 song "Goodnight Saigon" begins and ends with the sound of helicopters. "Goodnight Saigon"'s chorus includes the famous line, "And we will all go down, together..." Not sure if it's the song you're thinking of, since it's earlier than the 90's.
Another Brick in the Wall was banned in South Africa beause the Government thought it was anti educational so they banned it. Also the possibily of Arnold Layne being banned in this country because they didnt like the thought of transvestism.

Bzzz! Wrong Answer! The Answer is Syd Barret and then Roger Waters and sometimes David Gilmour.
The song is Time. You can find it on the album Dark Side of the Moon.
They are an incredible band, but it is only a form of opinion.
Great question! There's actually a few ways to look at it.
Why is this important, you ask? Well, at the time The Wall was being recorded, Gilmour and Waters hated each other bitterly. They'd barely talk to each other, much less cooperate in the songwriting process. And after The Wall, the band released another Waters project The Final Cut, after which Waters left the band for good. So in a way, "Comfortably Numb" could be seen as the last time the two primary songwriters of Pink Floyd worked together, before their own wall separated them for 25 years.
The singers were: Sam Brown, "the blond", Claudia Fontaine and Durga Mcbroom
It was released in 1979 on 'The Wall' album. The song Another Brick In The Wall was actually in three parts, Part 2 being the most popular.
The main character in Pink Floyd's "The Wall" is named "Pink". He, however, is not a real person. If you meant the personnel who played on the album, the main people were: Roger Waters, David Gilmour and Nick Mason. If you meant the actor that portrayed Pink in the movie version, that was Bob Geldof.
