There are several elements that have a symbol based on their atomic name. Perhaps the most well known is sodium, which as the symbol Na. Others include gold (Au), potassium (K), silver (Ag) and tungsten (W).
I could not find it in an online Latin-English dictionary, but I'm wondering if it is the Latin word for the element Lithium?
