Electric Ladyland was the final album officially released by Jimi Hendrix prior to his death. however, he had been working on a new studio album before his death, but his death prevented him from completing it. the album was posthumously released in 1971, & it was entitled "The Cry Of Love". Apparently, it was stated that the completed album was not what Hendrix had intended to release, as it apparently sounded much different to what it was intended to sound like. I found out last year(2008), that the tracks that were on the Cry Of Love LP, along with a host of other tracks(many previously unreleased) are available as two re-mastered compilations. the Cd's are entitled South Southern Delta & First Rays Of The New Rising Sun.Both Cd's are released by MCA/UNIVERSAL music.
