The dash has to be removed to gain access to the heater box. The heater box then comes out and is split open to replace the core.
This is a major repair and requires someone who is knowledgable. It is located inside the dash next to the firewall and requires the removal of quite a few dash panels.
Answer . Just found website that has the answer. I am having the same problem. In the fuse box is a spot for a canister type flasher relay, but there is no wiring for it. The flasher relay is located on the lmc or the computer board.\nHere is the website that has pictures.http://www.p71intercepto…r.com/lcm/ (MORE)

Where can I find a online owners manual for free and How would you replace the piston on a 89 Oldsmobile Royal?
Answer . Which piston? what's wrong. If it's a piston in the engine, you'll need a major rebuild. If it's a master cylinder or wheel cylinder piston, just replace the cylinder, it's not worth the trouble.
You can find them on Amazon for around $33.00 or you can download one for around $10.00. You might find them cheaper if you look around a bit.

It is located on the side of the engine block. If you have a code for a knock sensor and you have a noise in the engine, it will set the code. That does not mean that the sensor is bad. They very rarely give problems.
The only brake shoes on a '96 crown are for the parking brakes. The front and back are disc. Once the wheel is off, take off the caliper and the rotor will come off. Replace with new disc's and new rotor and put the unit back on. Do one side at a time. The rear has the parking brakes in the center o…f the disc, held in with springs. You will need some special tools for the job, caliper spreader, spring pliers. Also, check the calipers to see if they move freely, if not then replace with rebuilt. Also check the sliding bolt and apply the proper grease. (MORE)
4.6 L engine. First drain the rad. disconnect the battery. You have to remove the intake maniflod and all the vacum hoses, fuel rail and any other lines in the way. Next comes the exhaust manifolds and valve covers. Now you can remove the heads. If you have to replace one side then do both. Also, if… the intake has not been replaced then do so. The original one from Ford will crack at the seam just behind the alt. from the thermostat to the cross over. It is all made of plastic. The new one's have been modified. There is much more to it. Torque values, cam timing, etc. (MORE)

First make sure the bulbs are good. Next, check the brake lite switch on the brake pedal. It might have a bad contact or just be broken. If the switch is good, and do all the other lites work ? If not, but anyway, check all the fuses. I hope this covers it, but if all that fails, check on the passen…ger side, in the trunk, rear panel, pull back the cover and there you will find a wire plug in for the lites, sometimes the contact is bad and just have to clean this. I hope it is one of these things, or else it could be a short in the wire, but if all the other lites do work, most likely what i mentioned. Good luck. (MORE)
1. Disconnect the battery. 2. Drain the cooling system. 3. It is advised that you remove both front seats; by doing this, you get more working room when you're ready to pull the dash back. 4. Remove screws in the upper part of the dash by the windshield, removing the glove box door, all the du…ct work under the dash, radio, heater controls, then dropping down the steering wheel. You might need to disconnect the gear selector. 5. There are two nuts on each side of the dash in the lower corners. Remove these and the dash is ready to slide back. Another person is recommended to help you with this step. 6. After you remove it, remove the climate control box, which houses the heater core. There are usually three nuts that hold it in place. One of these is on the outside at the fire wall and the other two are at top of the box and on the bottom of the box. A magnetic socket is best for the one on top. 7. If you have not already disconnected the hoses for the core at the fire wall, you might want to do that now and for the reinstall process. 8. Once you remove the box, it might be necessary to remove any antifreeze from the leaking core. 9. After you have removed the core, if the new one did not come with any padding, just reuse the old piece. 11. Reinstall the core and follow the the instructions for the reinstall procedure. 12. Once finished, add antifreeze and check for heating. Important: keep track of all the screws you remove and where you removed them from. Some are longer than the other. (MORE)

Would that be the drain for the oil? If so, its on the bottom of the oil pan.
For the front, it is an easy job. Just unbolt the top and bottom, pull the shock out, and replace. For the rear shocks, it is a bigger job. Ford really buried the top nut up in the frame. The best way is to have the car on a hoist, almost impossible on jack stands, but you can try. The lower bolt is… no problem to remove, its when you try for the top nut. It is almost impossible to get a wrench in there to remove the old rusted top nut. The best way is to cut it off with a torch, with a water hose in your helpers hand. Be very careful if you use the torch, the air shock plastic line runs in the area, if equiped. You will need to give it a shot of water to stop the rubber bushing from burning. If you remove the rear tires, look thru the frame on top, and you will see where you have to go. Good luck. Or, do the front, and have the garage do the rear. (MORE)

Its on the top. Just some simple tools, remove the belt, and un-bolt. Its the easiest thing that Ford did with the car.
With the hood open, on the passenger side there is the overflow container for the rad. The cap might be pressurized if the engine is hot. You add the antifreeze there.
You do mean the whole thing. There are 3 clips to remove from the inside, use a screw driver. The whole lens then comes out from the front. If you just mean the bulb, then just un-screw the bulb holder, ( 1/2 turn ) then replace the bulb.
my dimmer light in the dash keeps flashing even when the lights are not turned on

It may have a dead battery...it may not have any oil, ask a neighbor to give you a charge to your battery and then a push and a can …of gas. You can not.. You might get lucky and find one on EBay or something or maybe at a junkyard but there is no such thing as a free lunch.. I would buy an aftermarket repair manual for the Jeep. Chiltons and Haynes both make them for a very modest sum and theyre accurate and more detailed by far than …the original owners manual. Libraries usually have them in their reference section and you can read them for free. (MORE)

I guess that you have to change the sensor for the heat/ac. This job takes about 8 hours, lots of patience, and a small socket set and screw drivers. Remove the trim from the dash, just snaps out ( carefully ) then remove the glove box door, there you will see all the small screws that have to be re…moved. As you start from the passenger side and work to the drivers side you will see where all the screws have to be removed. You also have to drop the steering column, I believe 4 bolts. (MORE)

Cooling system capacity : ( including heater ) 14.1 quarts / 13.3 liters According to the 1996 Ford Crown Victoria Owner Guide
On a 1996 Ford Crown Victoria : The ELECTRIC fuel pump is INSIDE the fuel tank ( the fuel tank is vertically mounted just behind the rear wheels and the fuel pump is mounted high on the side that faces towards the rear seat )
You have to determine if the horn itself is broken or if it's a wiring problem. First thing, check the fuse for the horn circuit. See if it is burnt out. If it is good place it back in the fuse holder. Next is to check the horn itself. The horn is located on the front drivers side, mounted on the bu…mper. Get under the car and look up, you should see it. Check all the wiring around it to make sure all the connections are good. If all the connections look good and it still doesn't work, remove the horn. Once you have it removed, connect it directly to a 12VDC source to make sure the horn is indeed dead. If at this point the horn still doesn't work, buy a replacement (install is the same as removal). If the horn does work, there is either faulty wiring or a faulty horn switch (steering wheel actuated). (MORE)

This is about an 8 hour job. Start with draining the rad of coolant. You do not have to remove the fuel rail, just move it aside. Best is to take a picture of the intake before, gives you some reference to finish the job. Now, start with removing everything else that has to be removed. Torque the ne…w intake to spec's. (MORE)
Once you relive the fuel pressure, you have to remove the fuel rail, the injector just pulls out. Use new o-ring.
The first box is in the car up around the parking brake pedal. The 2nd is under the hood.

Highly doubtful you'll find one for free. You'll need a Ford manual for the chassis and a Fleetwood manual for the body. You're going to have to accept that these are both going to come with a price tag. For the chassis, you can pay about $25 for a Chilton or Haynes manual, or closer to $100 for the… much more detailed shop manual. You'll have to contact Fleetwood about their manual. (MORE)
