Joseph Lister's full name was "Joseph Lister." Plain and simple, he had no middle name. In 1883 he awarded a baronetcy for his work, and thus could be addressed as, "Sir Joseph Lister Bt." In 1902 he also received an Order of Merit and ceremonial honor as part of the Privy Council, thus making his name as "Sir Joseph Lister, Bt OM, PC."
