If your hair smells burnt it could be because of a styling product your using like a srtraightener or curler. In order to try and make this smell go away you should let your hair go natural for a few days and when you take a shower let your hair dry naturally so it can absorb the moisture from the water. In order to prevent this smell from increasing use a heat protectant and visit your choice of salon about every month or 2 and ask to get any split ends cut off.
