You can most definitely NOT swim in the Titanic shipwreck. It is approximately 2.33 miles down in the ocean, and the pressure is so great that if a human were to go swimming, without much equipment and a little submarine, they would be crushed by the pressure.
There have been a few expeditions down to the Titanic (creepy old boat pictures...), and they have gone inside the Titanic. It is in ruins, and a person could not physically swim. They have to be inside a submarine.
It is also not open to just any person. You have to be a trained professorial, and a Titanic expert, or else I would've already gone a zillion times ;)
At the moment, there is no longer Titanic tours to the wreck. Deep Ocean Expeditions and Bluefish were the last companies that offered such a service, but both ended tours soon after the centennial anniversary of the Titanic sinking, the last was in 2013.
Yes. Bob Ballard is credited with finding Titanic on Sept 1 1985.
The last manned dive was in 2005 but there are plans, as of 2018, to resume expeditions to the wreck.
Yes you can but you would need to go by the way of a submarine. You would not be able to get out however because the water pressure is so great that your body would com bust.
Yes you can charter a submersible through a British tourist agency and it is two people to one submarine plus the pilot and runs about thirty thousand dollars.
Only special submarines can because it is 2 miles down
I don't think so, considering the fact that it lies about 12,600 ft below the surface.
Because it hit an iceberg.
No. That was a fiction created for the movie.
April 15, 1912
because they wanted to go down with it
Yes. Titanic sunk by the bow until she achieved about a 45 degree angle (maybe steeper) then splitting.
no
Yes. The Captain.
Yes. Captain Smith went down with the ship on Titanic.
The titanic HAS been found already, and i think if they could or wanted to melt it down, they would. But i dont think the government wants to, or anyone else.
Yes they did.
Yes
Yes.
Because it hit an iceberg.
ony special submarines can go down and see it because it is 2 miles down
Robert Ballard discovered the Titanic in 1985, 27 years ago.
There was, and the orchestra decided to go down with the ship.
Sadly yes he did.
