Insurers take steps to help avoid a loss, including inspections. (afull inspection of your home's electrical and heating systemsshould be performed annually by a licensed contractor) The typicalinsurance company inspection is much simpler, usually checking forany obvious problems and determining und…erwriting details such asthe amp rating of your electrical service if fuses or circuitbreakers, roof pitch, etc. The result of their inspection would also determine how muchinsurance are you qualified to get - or what is the condition oryour home during the time that you applied for home insurance. Thiswill be another basis for your whole insurance policy the you andyour insurance agent will agree upon. (MORE)

How do you collect on an old life insurance policy issued in 1953 by Equitable Life Insurance Company with a home office of Washington DC?
It depends on whether the company is still in business. I was unable to find it through my sources. However, before an insurance company can sell insurance in a certain state, it must register with the State Dept of Insurance. If the company is sold, then it must notify the Dept of who it was sol…d to. If it just closes down, its policies were likely sold to another company, the Dept will have to be notified of that as well. Contact the DC Dept of Insurance and inquire there. (MORE)

If you only have life insurance through a group plan with your company, the answer is Yes. Coverage through your employer is not portable in most cases and is usually out of your control. They generally follow a formula such as: 2 x Salary plus $10,000, as an example. They can drop this coverage at …any time. It is always important to have you own life insurance outside of your employer. (MORE)
I found an old insurance policy with this company. The insured is Judith A Kneeshaw which is me. Policy # L 5006603. Is it still in effect. Thank you, Judy
Some may but in general they are considered exposures to risk and will be excluded or your coverage may even be canceled. You will need to speak with an agent or agencies in order to find a company that will accept a trampoline risk.
Can anyone answer what they think of term life insurance how it is beneficial from other life insurance products?
Term life insurance is beneficial in several ways:. 1. Flexible - offering terms of coverage for 10, 15, 20, or 30 years.. 2. Affordable - permanent life insurance may cost 2-3 times more than term life insurance.. 3. Easy-to-Understand - Term life is temporary life insurance for 1-30 years. If y…ou outlive your policy term, your life insurance coverage ends, It builds no cash value, it is pure protection.. Usually provides the maximum amount of life insurance at the lowest price.. Answer . Term life policies are usually more popular because of the low premiums and high insurance coverage. In terms of being "beneficial" it all depends on the individual. Many people choose term life policies simply as a means of protection against the death of an earning member. This kind of policy helps to offset loans, mortgages, or ensure a college fund for kids, etc. through high death benefits. For many people, whole life policies are far too expensive, and thus a term policy suits their needs in their current situation. A helpful guide is Term vs. Whole Life Insurance. (MORE)

You have got Philippine Prudential Life Insurance Company Inc two days ago but you change your mind can you still cancel it?
Take a look at the front page...policies in the United States always provide a "FREE LOOK" period. Commonly 10 days and 30 days depending on the policy type and age of the insured. Take a copy of the Front page and the "Policy Specification page" for your records. Contact the agent- notify him/…her that you wish to return the policy and have a full refund of your premiums. The agent should be willing to help you return the policy, though they won't be happy, as they will be hurt financially by having your policy returned "not taken" or "free look". They will have to return any commission, plus the "persistency" for the agent will be hurt, which can lower their pay for service of existing clients if they work for Prudential directly. Verify the Carriers toll-free phone number and arrange to have the policy returned quickly to the carrier. IF the agent hesitates or delays in any way...be sure to return it immediately yourself. If returning it yourself: Mail the policy (if you received it) to the Home office of the insurer immediately. The address will be listed on the policy. Send a signed, dated letter, (providing policy number if possible and policy) to the carrier asking to have all premiums refunded immediately and all future bank drafts stopped immediately regarding the plan. Send the policy and the signed letter to the carrier. (MORE)

By proving to your provider that you value their service and are committed to them, they will reward you for being a devoted customer. a monkey. I dont even know what a benefical life insurance is. Too Hard For MEH.
As with any kind of insurance, the insurance company benefits by distributing risk according to statistical models, finding out how much it would cost them to pay out claims against all their insured clients, and then charging their clients more than their analysts tell them they will have to pay. …With life insurance you pay an annual premium that could be fixed, or could go up significantly the older, more sickly, or more likely to die you become (depending on your type of coverage). So if you are twenty years old and take out a 20 year term life insurance policy, the insurance company knows what the exact % chance is that a person who more or less fits your description will die in the next 20 years. They factor that out across all their customers, and then they charge their customers more than they expect to pay out. Insurance benefits unlucky people and insurance companies. Everyone else loses. A life insurance company requires an application to consider issuing a policy. It requires the applicant to answer various questions and to provide personal information of various types. Among these are questions concerning the applicant's health history. This is sought in order to determine whether… the applicant meets the risk criteria that the insurer is willing to accept in order to insure the applicant's life. The policy is issued in reliance on the answers to those questions. Usually, the insurer also hires an independent company to conduct a physical exam of the applicant. You might therefore consider the foregoing to be a "test". (MORE)

A live insurance company is a company that holds a "life insurance" policy on a person. The policy is taken out by a person and fees are paid. And, if for some reason the person's life ends, the policy is paid out to the beneficiaries as long as the death was not done on purpose.
There are many insurance companies that offer homeowners insurance and it will vary from state to state. I recommend that you call an Independent Insurance Agency. These type of insurance agencies represent several insurance companies and can compare companies and policies from different companies t…o best meet your needs. A direct writer like State Farm, Cotton States, Nationwide, etc represent one company and often times are actually employees of the one company. For full disclosure, I own and operate a small independent insurance agency in Georgia and have for 22 years. I worked as a direct writer agent for 3 years before that. (MORE)
There are several good companies out there, and the best one for you would depend on your age, gender, health, and the amount of insurance you're looking for. I would suggest speaking to a licensed agent :-) who can ask the appropriate questions and derive a series of rates from multiple companies …for you, along with determining which is the best carrier for you to go with. Feel free to contact me via my profile for more information. (MORE)
State Farm is listed as one good company. Amica is also listing an ad as offering affordable home insurance coverage. Other companies like Geico and Progressive offer this coverage as well.
thats hard to say..AM Best is the gold standard for insurance company ratings... Demotech, while not the best, still gives good predictions of company solvency. I wouldn't be too worried about it so long as the insurance carrier in question is "admitted"

In the UK there is no onus on a life insurance company to notify a funeral director of the existence of a life insurance policy, that is a matter for those handling the deceased's estate.
