I bought a 2008 Goldwing a few weeks ago to use as a commuter vehicle to save some money on fuel. I'm getting 43-45 MPG on my 2008 Wing, with most driving being at highway speed...I suspect others milage will vary depending traffic, load (carrying a passenger) etc, but 40+ MPG isn't bad compared to the 16-17 MPG of my Dodge Ram pickup!
