There is a free site called VideoChatBuddyFinder.com you can search find and add new friends on 8 of the major instant messengers including skype. Most profiles have lots of information on the person so you can make a sound decision who you are adding.

Another site that allows you to search for IM members, including online Skype users, is search-im.com You can search for similar interests, location and gender.

∙ 13y agoToward the bottom of your "contacts" page, there should be a button that says "add a contact." After clicking the button, you can search for a friend using his/her email address, phone number, full name, or Skype name.

∙ 11y agoThe newer version of skype doesn't allow to do that anymore however if you want to find random people on skype use the older version find what you need then upgrade to newer version or stay where you are, you can always go back to older version again to find more random people.

You should only accept friend requests from people you know. You don't have to accept someone's friend request unless you want to. Only accept requests from people if you know them and don't mind them seeing everything you have posted to your page. However, if you do accept a friend request, make sure not to tell any really personal information.
