The computer is making the life more difficult than pre-computer era is mainly because no matter how smartly you build the instructions / rules for computer to run it still the humanly written code that would never be perfect.
Computer runs on formulas and applied the formula without considering the seasonal changes. Even if it is possible to compute a formula to depict the real-life scenarios, it would take huge investment that 99% of population would not able to afford.
E.g. Computer are computing Grocery items prices, computers are computing Salaries, computers are preparing budget, computers are used to propose "Maximum Retail Prices". People are doing calculations on software (e.g. MS Excel) that itself are not error-free plus the knowledge on how to use the MS Excel (constructing formulas) are also not same for every individual. If you applied a minutely erroneous formula to long list of grocery items it will go unchecked by Humans (because human usually checks totals) and if it gets approved by Authority, the population has to bear it. Wide-spread implementation multiplied the impact.
Practical Example:
Cost of Banana $0.99
Consumption of Banana 100,000,000
Authority Approves the Price $1 (because MS Excel rounded off 0.99 to $1)
Now each banana is $0.01 gets expensive (without any reason) increasing the inflation of $1,000,000 unnecessarily.
Companies happily printed the price of $1 on Banana packaging (considering it cost-advantage and higher profits) but the population who will be consuming it will suffer. Such minor $0.01 price-increase will go unnoticed from both end "Consumer" & "Producer".
Note: This is the example of only one-item, do not forget the numerous products we are using on daily basis.
Similarly, previously people write "Postal Address" by ball-pens / pencils now, they are printing it from computer (using Electricity, using computer equipment, using printer, using Paper, Using "Glue to paste it on packet".....it all adds unnecessarily costs, and the consumer has to bear this added costs knowingly or unknowingly
I would really appreciate any thoughts on my perception, whether I am right or wrong?
Computer affects the eye
They mke you fat and make your poo go green hmmm
In the 1960's - the majority of computers were owned by businesses - there were almost no terminals in domestic homes. Therefore there was no impact on everyday life.
computers are made by humans for humans
Humans will become lazy and obese. The robots will be doing all the work for them.
yes they can
What is the impact of computers on local communities
No, because humans invented computers so computers cannot be smarter than humans.
Computers can increase your knowledge, but not always accurately...
None. Computer viruses are binary code, our cells are DNA/RNA ==My Answer== I would see it as a society that must revert to life without computers. This would mean a return to much more manual labour and much more labour intensive industries.
Depending on the size of the meteorite, there may be no humans left to impact.
human impact is impact of humans on an enviornment
Humans will become lazy and obese. The robots will be doing all the work for them.
Computer technology (such as Anime, games) brought me out of suicide and depression after high school ended.
