They are both a mass of matter moving down a slope at speed however avalanches generally move faster and always consist on snow where as landslides consists of trees, land, rocks, and any debris it picks up. A mud slide is mainly medium to fast moving mud that also has debris it has picked up.
They are alike because they are both on mountains or cliffs and are coming down in a very large amount and a forceful motion. they are different because an avalanche is a large mass of snow, ice, etc., detached from a mountain slope and sliding or falling suddenly downward while a landslide is the sliding of a large mass of rock material, soil, etc, down the side of a mountain or cliff.
They are basically the same, however an avalanche has to do with snow whilst a landslide is "land" or colluvium, talus or scree.
They both are partly caused by water.
Both deposit material on steep hill l
mud/ snow
It's Avalanche! Believe me ! If someone gives you hippo its denfinaltley wrong!
* slope, * gravity, * rainfall * mud slide * avalanche * earthquake * tremor
They both occur on slanted landforms, occur suddenly and unexpectedly, use gravity, are caused by large amounts of unstable mass, and are capable of massive destruction.
4 examples of Mass wasting are; 1. Rock fall. 2. Landslide. 3. Mud flow. 4. Avalanche.
avalanche
landslide is a part of a land and avalanche is a area where it can be land and flied

A landslide.
A landslide is something that would occur in a dry climate ( a cliff side, dirt) and a avalanche occurs in the snow.

It is a landslide. An avalanche is where a mass of snow swiftly rolls down mountains. It has killed many people before.
do avalanche happen fast or slow
some of them are avalanche, landslide and volcano
Landslide xx
I was caght in an avalance. The avalance was big and scary. When the avalance started, I saw someone scream and dissappear. An avalance is a landslide of snow or earth. A synonym for avalance is landslide.
