If the matter is undissolved then it will form a precipitate or suspension. To remove the undissolved matter you would filter it through filter paper or similar.

You could centrifuge it first if you had the equipment. Centrifuging makes the particles settle to the bottom and then you can decant (pour off) the liquid from the top.
