First, almost all chemistry for profit requires at least a college chemistry education (so you don't kill yourself) second, your largest problem will be having people buy the products you react.

a simple, moderately safe and occasinaly profitable reactions is as follows:

put 300ml of sulfuric acid in a 400ml beaker. (concentration of acid only effects time)

DO THIS OUTSIDE FROM THIS POINT

carefully insert pennies dated from the year 1981 or earlier into the acid filling the solution to around the 400ml mark.

the solution will turn blue and the pennies will dissolve

at this point, you have a very contaminated solution of cupric sulfide. now you need to let the acid evaporate naturally, or using heat. if the slow method is used, you get some cool blue toxic crystals.

Now, the part that people pay for, take some common small metal object and attach the cathode (-) of a DC power supply and submerge slightly in the cupric sulfide solution.

take a piece of stainless steel screen, connect it to the anode (+) of the power supply platinum coated nickel wire, or other conductor, and place it at the bottom of the beaker

If you don't have any sulfuric acid lying around, check the hardware store for "battery acid" its the same exact thing

How is energy involved in a chemical reaction?

Activation energy is needed to start a chemical reaction. This energy is used to join the reactants together or break them apart. If a reaction is exothermic then it gives energy out. If it is endo thermic then the reaction takes energy in.

What is the diffrens between chemical and kinitec energy?

Chemical energy is energy stored in the bonds of a molecule. It is released/used through chemical reactions and is a type of POTENTIAL energy. KINETIC energy is energy possessed by an object due to its motion.

What function do the cholroplast have?

Chloroplasts contain chlorophyll molecules which absorb the sun's energy and convert it to chemical energy which can be used to fuel chemical reactions in the cell.

What is the importance of chemical energy to cell process?

Chemical Energy, stored in the atomic and molecular structures of chemicals, is important as it is released and used in cells for certain processes via chemical reactions, in other words, the chemical energy and the molecules involved set the stage for such chemical reactions.

What two kinds of energy changes can take place during a chemical reaction?

Two types of energy changes that can occur in a chemical reaction are (1) endothermic and (2) exothermic. Endothermic is where energy is added to the system and exothermic is where energy is given off by the system.

Living things need a constant supply of energy even though many of the chemical reactions they undergo release energy why is this true?

the energy used/released in those reactions are used in other ways that the organism needs in order to survive.
