Coral atoll are tiny sea animals that live in shallow water, but when reefs form the new coral grow over the skeleton of the old. As the ocean crust beneath the volcano sinks, the coral sinks with it, and the new coral continues to form on top of the old. Eventually, coral covers the whole volcano. It can survive with the ocean waves bringing in new food and more marine life.
A guyot is a flat topped underwater volcano or seamount. These represent ancient volcanoes that were probably surface features when young. Perhaps even coral atoll's. With sea-floor spreading, these are moved into progressively deeper water.
Darwin's theory starts with a volcanic island which becomes extinct. As the island and ocean floor subside, coral growth builds a fringing reef, often including a shallow lagoon between the land and the main reef. Ultimately the island sinks below the sea, and the barrier reef becomes an atoll enclosing an open lagoon. A fringing reef can take ten thousand years to form, and an atoll can take up to 30 million years I hope this helped ! Source : Wikipedia
the understory floor
yes they do
it dies
A coral is a plant that lives in packs most of the time, you can usually find them in reefs or at the the ocean floor.
To the floor of the mouth
The coral is evidence that Missouri was once the floor of a shallow sea.
Yes, they do.
It depends on how deep the bottom is. Coral can only survive in relatively shallow water, so most of the ocean floor is coral free.
A fitted carpet means that the carpet covers the whole of the floor area. An underlay may be laid first and the carpet laid on top. The carpet is not attached to the floor.
No corals live on the ocean floor, they live in shallow seas, i.e. near contiental shelves, or coral atolls like in Hawai'i were the islands have eroded just below sea level where shallow warm waters are prime for coral growth.
