Talk to her calmly. She might be stressed about something because of which she has taken to the habit of smoking. If possible, cajole her to share her problem with you. Lend her a patient ear. Stir up her emotions to motivate her to give up smoking. Talk about the health hassles. Even if she doesn't relent, don't lose heart and continue your efforts. However, never lose your cool.
confront her? as in guilt her to stop? I think going in with this attitude will make her confrontational and dismiss anything you say.
If it bothers you, just ask them if they do, and why.
my mom will
yeah. if you want her to stop
About his mom
Send or hook her up with quitline
You should tell her that you saw her smoking
She will no longer smell of cigaret smoke.
Curiosity, honestly. I tried my first cigarette when I was 12, just because I always saw my mom smoking.

Tell them, everyday, the benefits of quitting smoking. But don't give up until they quit smoking. That's a struggle which requires much effort and time.
