This is not easily achievable. If you are severely overweight, you can't get a flat stomach in one week. It is the same thing as asking for abs in two weeks - it is just not going to happen.

This is among the first thing that people get told about weight loss. It is not easy, it is not fast and it can get frustrating. Trying to lose absurd amounts of weight in just a week is not wise. It is dangerous.

I didn't edit the answer below since it has good points. These things that the user below mentioned are all things that you need to do to lose weight, but you can't just suddenly thin up to a perfect condition in week.

Burn that belly fat!

Thousands upon thousands of sit-ups. Also, some have been sucessful with Relacor - an over-the-counter "belly fat" burning supplement.

Body Wraps

I do body wraps on my target areas. To get specific instructions, go to slenderwrap dot com. They have pictures to show you how to do it. I use a solution of 1/4 cup of sea salt dissolved in 2 cups of hot water, 1 cup of bentonite clay (it's powder), and 2 Tablespoons of olive oil. I also take a warm shower for 10 minutes prior to applying the solution, and soak my rolled up wraps (cut up sheets or ace bandages at least 4 inches wide) in a pot of hot salty water. I put on a pair of heavy sweats and then wrap up in a hot electric blanket to sweat. DRINK MANY GLASSES OF WATER FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS! Make sure you measure yourself before you shower, after you shower off the mud, and again 24 hours later. Everyone I know who does this loses a few inches each time off their belly. Doing this every day (and you can do it as many times a day as you like as long as you drink plenty of water,) I lost 13 inches off my belly in 2 weeks. The first wrap lost me 4 inches off my belly alone. My sister lost 5 inches, and my mom lost 4 3/4 inches. The flabbier you are, the tighter it will make you. Remember, if you pig out, you will gain the fat back. This is a quick fix, but it shouldn't be a substitute for good diet and exercise. One person I know got itchy from the clay, so do a patch test first, like you would with hair color.

Make a goal , and the first best thing to do is brainstorm ways how you can, but some of the best ways are to drink a lot of water, take a couple of 15 to 30 min. jogs, eat healthy, have smaller proportions, and don't eat after a certain time . Another way to look more healthy is to get a good night sleep. You will notice a difference(:

The less you eat and the more exercise you do, the faster you will lose weight and the faster your stomach will flatten out - but that is not necessarily the best strategy. People who lose weight too quickly by means of a starvation diet almost always gain it back again equally quickly when their willpower finally fails them. Moderate dieting, slower weight loss, and moderate exercise will be much more likely to give you a lasting change in the state of your stomach.

If you diet properly, figure on losing 1-2 pounds/week. More may be unsafe.

Note that attempting to reduce fat in just one part of your body at a time is likely to be disappointing.

Fat reduction works like this: When you try to lose fat through calorie-burning exercises, the reduction occurs all throughout your body. Unlike muscle-building, it cannot be specifically targeted to one region. Also, the reduction in fat will not be quickly apparent because it will not be focused on only one spot on your body. So it's helpful to have a "slowly but surely" attitude.

Here's a program for the period in which you want to lose weight:

Plenty of moderate aerobic exercise, no sweetened liquids at all, and no junk food at all. Preferably no sugar, and as little added salt and processed foods as possible. Eat 3 small-portioned meals/day; do not skip breakfast; and avoid snacks. Limit your calories (better to consult a doctor or nutritionist concerning the amount), and weigh yourself 2-3 times/week. Ignore the sensation of hunger. If you see your weight diminishing at a safe, reasonable rate (1-2 pounds/week), keep it up.

Once you've reached your target weight, increase your calorie intake somewhat. And you can then have small amounts of sweetened foods or junk food on occasion (if at all), along with your regular foods (not instead of them). But keep checking your weight 2-3 times/week.

Avoid crash diets, diet pills etc. Avoid fatty cuts of meat. Walk as much as possible. Bicycling and swimming are good too.

More guidelines:

Don't concentrate on specific foods so much as on a balanced, healthy diet plus exercise. Plenty of moderate exercise rather than intense exercise, which can damage your joints.

Good nutrition means eating what your body needs, while ingesting as few harmful things as possible. It has also been described as getting enough of each of the major food categories (grains, fruits, vegetables, protein, dairy, etc.; plus plenty of water).

This will vary somewhat from one person to another; and I don't believe that there's any universal diet that can be prescribed for everyone. Avoid best-sellers with their perennial fad diets. And think twice before using any dietary supplements or weight-loss pills.

In general, one's starting point can be a menu of whole grains, whole-wheat bread, a good amount of vegetables, some fruits and nuts, fish, lean meats (in not-large amounts), and some dairy. However, this must be tweaked according to one's health, weight and other factors at the outset; and also adjusted over time, as one sees what works for him/her in particular.

The ketogenic diet, commonly referred to as "keto," is a low-carb, high-fat diet that has been shown to have various health benefits, including weight loss. Here's how it can help you get a flatter stomach:

Reduce bloating: By reducing the consumption of foods high in carbohydrates and increasing your intake of healthy fats, you can reduce bloating, which can help make your stomach appear flatter.

Decrease water retention: The keto diet can help regulate insulin levels, which can decrease water retention, another factor that can contribute to a bloated appearance.

Encourage fat loss: By following the keto diet, your body will enter a state of ketosis, where it starts to burn stored fat for energy instead of carbohydrates. This can result in weight loss, including fat from the abdominal area.

Improve gut health: The keto diet is rich in fiber-rich leafy greens and low-carb vegetables, which can improve gut health and digestion, which can further contribute to a flatter stomach.

It's important to keep in mind that following a ketogenic diet should be done under the guidance of a healthcare professional to ensure it is safe and effective for you, and to monitor any potential side effects. Additionally, incorporating regular physical activity and a balanced, calorie-controlled diet can also help with weight loss and achieving a flatter stomach.
