Helping them go thru the stage of denial and acceptance that they have breast cancer.Early detection good prognosis. Lump usually is aspirated by needle biopsy to check if its benign or malignant.Then if it is benign , surgery called lumpectomy will be performed.If malignant, modality of treatment like chemo and radiation will be done. You can also let them joined breast cancer support groups. You tell them that their hair will grow back after the chemo. As early before the chemo starts , introduced to them wigs that fit their style ,curves and most of all the care and support of their family is highly needed.
Be there for the person, Make sure they know they have a reason to live, tell them all the things in life that are special. good luck!

A cancer patient. There is no special term like there is for say a diabeties patient (ie: diabetic).
Both are incorrect. We don't say "is died". The be verb 'is' cannot be used with died in this way. This kind of sentence - be + past participle - is a passive sentence and died cannot be used in passive sentences. The correct sentence is -- A patient has died from cancer. -- This is present perfect.
