If the VCR and/or DVD don't have the same type of connector that your tv set does, you can buy adapters that will convert from cable to two-prong in order to connect to your tv set. Connect from the OUT connector on the back of the DVD or VCR to the back of the tv where you normally connect the antenna. The antenna is not necessary when viewing the DVD or VCR.

Wires.they're all different. each cable has it's own name. the big fat cable is an IDE cable,the cables coming from the power supply are power cables, the super small 3 pin connector cables are fan power/control cables.
Because your DVD player power supply emits RFI ( or radio frequency interference) and when you add cables to it they become a braodcast antenna for the RFI. Whne you plug into the VCR you are creating a longer antenna via the house wiring. Some power supplies in units are just that noisy.
