Find the lyrics online. Copy them to a word processing file.
Then, add your audio/music file to Windows Movie Maker.
Copy and paste lyrics individually from the Word file into the Titles/Credits feature in the program.
Place the individual lyrics into the Title Overlay track so that they coincide with the audio/music.
To add lyrics, you need to use the Title/Credits feature in Windows Movie Maker.
You can add title/text to various places in your movie: at the beginning or end, before or after a clip, or overlaying a clip. The title plays for the specified amount of time, either on the screen by itself or overlaying the video as it plays, and then the title/text disappears and the video clip or picture continues.
To add a title/text or credit:
If you know where you want the title/text or credit to appear in your movie, click that location on the storyboard/time-line.
> Click Tools, and then click Titles and Credits.
> Click the link that corresponds to where you want to add the title or credit.
> In the Enter text for title box, type the text that you want to appear as the title/text or credit.
> After you type the text, the monitor displays the default animation and format for the title or credit you want to add.
> To change the title/text animation, click Change the title animation, and select a title animation from the list.
> To change the font and color for your title, click Change the text font and color, and then choose the font, font color, formatting, background color, transparency, font size, and position of the title to your liking.
> Click Add Title.
To edit an existing title:
> On the storyboard/time-line, click the title/text you want to edit.
> Click Edit, and then click Edit Title.
> Make the changes you want to make, and then click Add Title.
To change the title duration:
To make sure that you are in time-line view, click the View menu, and then click Time-line.
Select the title/text whose duration you want to change.
Do one of the following:
> To extend the playback duration of the title/text, drag the end trim handle toward the end of the time-line.
> To reduce the playback duration of the title/text, drag the end trim handle toward the beginning of the time-line.
To remove a title:
> On the storyboard/time-line, click the title/text that you want to remove from your movie.
> Click Edit, and then click Remove.
Once you have created your lyrics in Titles and Credits, the text is placed on the Title Overlay track in the Time-line view of Windows Movie Maker.
If you wish to have the lyrics begin after your title, simply click on the lyrics on the track and drag them to the right. You can move the text anywhere you wish on the track.
You can make a lyrics video in Windows Live Movie Maker the same way you do in any earlier version of the program (like v2.1 or v2.6).
Import the song. Add the lyrics in Titles and Credits.
Add your lyrics using the Titles and Credits feature. Copy and paste the lyrics into the space provided in Titles and Credits (only two lines of text at any given time). They should appear in the Title Overlay track in the time-line view of Windows Movie Maker. Move the text along the time-line to coincide with the music.

You can't do that in Windows Movie Maker. Sorry.
Windows 7 version of Windows Movie Maker is actually an Essentials program called Windows Live Movie Maker. It is a stripped-down version of Windows Movie Maker v2.6. Though it doesn't have all the functionality and features of its predecessor, Windows Live Movie Maker does have Title and Credits, which is where you will find a box to place text into.
First, make sure you have the music video and the entire sheet of lyrics.Place your video into the video track of Windows Movie Maker. Increase the frame length and begin adding your lyrics (sentence by sentence) using the Title and Credits feature.Using Windows Movie Maker to create a lyric video is extremely tedious work, but it can be done if you have the patience.

You need to change the Animation scheme in Titles and Credits. However, if you are looking to 'Set' the title stationary on the left side of a clip (without animation of any type), it can't be done in Windows Movie Maker. My suggestion is to create a title page/clip (with the title placed as desired) in a graphics application. Then import it into Windows Movie Maker.
If you are referring to adding subtitles to a video/movie in Windows Movie Maker, click on Titles and Credits and choose: Title on selected clip. Then click Add title.
If you have a PC, put the music video in Windows Movie Maker (start> programs> accessories) and then with an overlapping title, make individual slides in the music video.
Check out what title/credit is in the Title Overlay track in your project. There has to be something there if you have an automatic title appearing when saving.
In the Time-line view, right-click the Title/Credit on the Title Overlay track and choose Cut or Remove.
To add a Title page on Windows Movie Maker...In the time-line view of the program;> Click on Tools, Titles and Credits> Choose to place the Title "Before the Selected Clip"> Change color, font and animation in this menu> Click Add Title
