Hey there, My advice would be to make an appointment at your nearest ORAL & MAXILLOFACIAL DEPARTMENT (usually located at your nearest hospital) in order to have an x-ray carried out. Wisdom teeth often come up at a angle to the rest of your teeth, hence pushing them & causing crowding & often, quite significant pain. The jaw can also be too small to accommodate more teeth (especially seen as it is occurring in a 12yr old mouth!) I am 23 & have just had all 4 of mine extracted before they had even cut the gumline as my jaw was not big enough to room any more. I had, previously, suffered from overcrowding & required braces for a few of my teenage yrs. My wisdom teeth were threstening to undo all my orthodontic work! Trust me, even if surgery is not, in the end, required.. it is worth getting it checked out in order to avoid months (if not yrs) of unnecessary pain for your child! :)

∙ 13y agoWell there is this Ore-gel stuff that numbs the gum. Here is a con to it: it numbs your throat and u can't swallow for awhile. A pro is it eases the pain. I might have the words pro and con wrong so sry if I do.
