First you must train them not to sleep with you,if he/she is a large dog,I would get a big dog bed put it beside my bed and cover him/her up,and keep doing this until he/she learns,if he/she is a small dog(under 20lbs)I would get him/her a blanket and cover him/her up on the top of your covers and train him/her to stay under his/her own covers.
At the end of the day, all dogs go through phases. They chew this, they chew that; your sofa, your slippers, your books, your wires. Eating its own bed is not abnormal, but like anything else; you don't want it to be chewing it. My advise would be to give it something else that it can chew on that doesn't matter. This is why some bright spark invented chewy toys. If, for example, the chewy toy tastes better than their bed, (or your sofa, or your treasured memories); it will occupy itself with this instead of its bed.
The suggestion which came before my answer was to spray their bed with vinegar. I'm not sure that this is such a good idea, however there may be some sort of a deterrent which does not smell, which will have the desired effect. BUT dogs like to chew things! You still need to provide it with something (otherwise it will move onto your sofa). Mushy dog food simply will not do the trick. I'd say the first solution stands as a superior option. Such toys are not too expensive and can last for years.
if it starts say NO BAD DOG then gently tap its rear end if it does it again do it a little harder each time hope it helps <3 Kaleigh
well, you have to put some cheese vinegar on the blanket/rug so when it sleeps on it the dog won't like the smell of the rug. i don't know what else you could possibly do. that's about it.
block it off or keep him out side
no
Your Dog might go under the blanket because He/she Feels Safe while he/she is sleeping
Bury him?
yes. but not long
Yes of course they could but your dog is smarter than you think they will move around let Air come in and dioxide go out if they are uncomforatble they llet you know but if your worried just get them a dog bed
They advanced carefully thorugh the forest. She lowered the sleeping dog carefully onto his blanket.
Sure a dog can sleep under an electric blanket, however, should the dog lick or chew, it becomes a dangerous blanket. A better plan is to offer fluffy bedding that can be tampped down by your dog. Dogs naturally turn round and round to make their "bed" in tall grasses or dig to create holes for them to burro into. Having a "dog bed" with sides, that is appropriately sized for your dog when curlled will give them additional heat that they need. You can always lay a towel over them, but unless they realize the warmth they get from being under it, they will usually get out from under and lay on-top of it by morning.
Here are some tips - Make sure that your dog has a nice comfortable bed to lay in - Make sure that if it is winter that you have a blanket in his bed, imagine you sleeping in your bed without a blanket! - Make sure that the food you give him/her is suitable for your dog. - Make sure that your dog has some toys to call his own. - And most of all, he needs you!!!!
A dog is as soft as a blanket.
give it some sleeping pills and have sex with it. you'll stop fantasising about it then. you'll just be remembering.
no she just is trying to hide it. She does that just to hide it. Its soo cute
It would take much proper training, but for now you should just let your dog be outside.
Try giving your dog a cuddly toy ,a blanket and hide a ticking clock outside the bed/crate. hope this helps! :)
