∙ 10y agoSomeone is not your friend if you feel in any way that they are not operating in your best interest. Friendship is based on mutual respect and equal attention to the friendship. If one person is not investing the same amount of time or energy to the relationship as the other, they are not in an equal friendship. Obvious signs of a poor friendship are lying, aggressive or controlling behavior, avoiding you or leaving you feeling bad after you have interacted.
