Answer It took me years to figure it out so I am more than happy to share my opinion. If you are in love, you will absolutely KNOW WITHOUT A DOUBT. You feel different from anything else you have known. You may not realize at first what is happening. That person captivates you. (not to be confused with obsession). That person takes your breath away. The two of you can be in a room full of people and he or she is the only one you are aware of. Nothing else around you matters. You want to be a better person. You want his or her happiness no matter what. You look forward to talking to and seeing that person and cannot wait until you do. They are the light of your life. You totally accept them for who they are....the good and the faults. You stand by them no matter what. If someone talks bad about them you stand up for them. Respect them. And if you are separated for a while for some reason like work travel or something like that, if you really love that person you don't just go and find someone else until you are together again. If you really love that person no one else can take his or her place. Real love doesn't come around on a regular basis. You can love different people on different levels such as a friend, family member, etc. But when you are in love with someone on a romantic level, really in love, that person is IT.

If you can't stop thinking about him/her, you wanna be with them every second, your every thought is about them, you miss them even if your not with them for a second, you want to spend forever with them, you know they are the one for U, and when you tell them you love them, look in his/her eyes and say it with every ounce of your soul and heart.
