Answer 1What I have seen as a frequent TravelerIts legal but I personally would not do it. They could turn you away. But they could turn you away for just being American with that passport. besides, almost all Muslim countries with the exception of Turkey and UAE require visas to enter the country. If you MUST visit Muslim countries and Israel all at one time, simply go to the Muslim countries first and visit Israel last. This would only work once. Once you been to Israel at all, you must use another passport or never try and get into say Syria again. Israel is a strong ally to the US and love America and will let you in no matter where you've been essentially. But to answer shortly again, Its possible but rather risky and generally not common. I personally have 3 passports, EU, Swiss, and US. I travel on EU almost always and have used the Swiss when I went to israel and Egypt all in the same vacation last summer. Obtain as many passports as you can through ancestry. That's another topic.

Answer 2

In Israel it is permissible to ask for them to stamp a looseleaf page so that you can rip it out of your passport when you intend later to go to a Muslim-majority country that does not allow those with Israel stamps to enter. However, if you plan to enter or leave Israel from an Arab crossing (Taba, Egypt, or one of the three Jordanian crossings) the Arabs will not be as kind. Many Muslim-majority countries will reject you if you have a stamp from any of these crossings because they know that they go to Israel.

In my view, though, it is not worth going to a country which is actively trying to prevent your entry.

Can an ex felon get passport to visit Israel?

Assuming that this question is about United States "ex felons" the tricky part is getting the US Passport, not visiting Israel. Some tips on getting a US Passport if you are a felon are at the following link. Once you have a passport, you can freely visit Israel without a VISA. European Union, British, and Canadian regulations may be different, but I would guess not by much. As for other regions, please ask specifically about that region. (Obviously, a citizen of a country that does not recognize Israel will be unable to acquire a passport to visit Israel regardless of being an ex-felon or upstanding citizen.)

How can you travel from Israel to Syria with an American passport if you already have an Israeli stamp on your passport?

You can't. At least not on the same passport. You should have asked the Israeli officials to put the stamp on a small slip of paper you would have carried in your passport.
