yeah, i have read allot of answers about loosing weight and taking in fewer calories. I lost 90 pounds in 4 month's by eating 700 calories a day and not be active. If the these people knew anything thing about nutrition, they would have mentioned that there are 3 different body types, ektomorph,(thin people) mesomorph (the well build people) and the endomorph (the roundish people) I am an endomorph, so i tend to pick up weight no matter what, i virtually must starve my self to loose weight. I mean I have skinny friends, who eats up to 4000 calories a day and not pick up a single pound of fat, so all these clever people who tells you to exercise, don't believe them, you wont die, its about looking good and feeling good. I managed to keep the weight of, it becomes a habit.

So all these wanna bees nutritionist, please post your degrees, because you are confusing the strong will powered people who wants to change.

They want to loose weight quick, 2 months or so not 10 years.

Well, the stage your body goes through that retains fat called "starvation mode". You burn about 2,000 calories a day just staying awake, and so you'll have a sufficient calorie lack. After about a day when your body really gets hungry it will start to bloat and not burn anything. You will lose muscle instead of fat. However, this will pass. You WILL lose weight if you eat the right things. Low-calorie (as well as low-fat and low-carb) foods such as veggies (no beans or corn) and lean protein in small amounts (white skinless chicken, white fish such as cod) and fruits (they have sugar, but it is healthy) are all good to eat on this diet. Don't do it for too long, at most about 10 days, and exercise about every other day (you don't want to tire yourself out). Try a lowfat yogurt and banana smoothie for breakfast with a tablespoon of peanut butter (healthy fats to keep you going). Then for lunch a medium plain salad with celery and little to no dressing, and for dinner a small serving of white fish and a half of a slice of bread. For snacks, maybe some low-fat cottage cheese or blueberries, but definitely limit snacks. Don't focus TOO much on the calorie count-just be healthy and eat a lot less than normal (but not to the point of dizziness) and go for a light 30 minute jog each morning or do an exercise tape, and maybe every other day take an intense yoga class. Work exercise into your daily routine, because after you finish your diet, you don't want to binge and gain everything back. Health is a habit. Don't worry too much about starvation mode-it's mostly a myth, people can lose weight anyways. Drink lots of water! Good luck :)

If you take in 700 calories a day and you burn off 200 a day not 200 more than you eat what will happen?

If you take in 700 calories a day and you burn off 200 a day you will gain 500 calories that aren't being used which will eventually add weight to your body over time.

If you are eating 700 to 800 calories a day will you gain weight if you raise it to 1200 I am 104 and 27 and 5'2'' and do not want to gain a single pound or lose?

No, but you might if you increase the number of calories you consume too quickly. Regularly eating 700 to 800 calories will put your body in a 'starvation mode' which lowers your bmr and prevents any of your body mechanisms from functioning 100%. When you start eating a higher number of calories your body will temporarily maintain this and store the extra energy. It may also make you crave more food. If you want to maintain your current body weight I recommend that you slowly increase your number of calories, allowing your body to adjust, and make sure that you are consuming plenty of protein and fats. Protein is very important because it may be something that your body desperately needs, and it will make you feel significantly more satiated than carbs.

Will this diet work to make you super skinny ok basically you eat 700 calories a day but if you start eating 3 meals but only 14 of the meal will you lose weight?

Eating only 700 calories each day isn't healthy, being super skinny isn't healthy. get your priorities straight and stop obsessing.

You are eating 10eggs a day amd going to gim and your weight is not increasing?

You probably don't want to be eating 700%+ of the recommended cholesterol per day, in general. If your weight isn't increasing, it means you're burning as many calories as you're taking in. Increase how much you're eating then.

Is it unhealthy to eat only 600 to 700 calories a day?

Yes, very much so. The average person should be eating 1,500 to 2,000 calories a day. Eating only 600 to 700 calories a day is starving your body of the proper nutrients it needs and is very unhealthy.

Is eating 700 calories per day dangerous?

No... The recommended amount of calories consumed each day should be around 2,000.

If you eat 700 calories and exercise and loose 500 calories does that mean you have 200 calories left?

If you eat only 700 calories per day how much weight will you lose in 8 weeks?

well actually your body will only burn the calories it consumes. if your eating less calories it will burn less calories, so i don't think you can figure that out from just that. if your trying to lose weight, exercise before meals, so your burning the fat you have stored and not the energy from the food you just consumed.

You are 5'4 150 lbs you are starting a diet and am eating around 700 calories a day and walking on the treadmill 4 times a week will i lose weight?

Yes you will definitely lose weight. However, you are not eating enough calories. 700 calories per day is dangerously low for someone who is walking on a treadmill 4X a week. Depending on your activity level, your body will need at least 1200 calories per day so that it can go about it's daily business of keeping you alive as well as supporting your exercising. You will actually lose weight more slowly if you're only eating 700 calories per day because your body will think it is starving and it will shut your metabolism down. The trick to keeping your metabolism going is to keep eating as regularly as possible! Digestion is what kicks your metabolism into high gear, and reminds your body that you are not starving. The key is eating small, well balanced meals throughout the day. I would recommend you stick with lean proteins, whole wheats, lots of fruits and veggies and aim for the following breakdown: Breakfast: 300 calories (whole grains, protein, fruit) Lunch: 300 calories (protein, salad, fat free salad dressing, veggies) Snack: 150 calories (fruit and protein) Dinner: 300 calories (protein, 2Xveggies, salad, fat free dressing) Dessert: 150 calories (fruit w/ small amount of chocolate, or small serving of your favorite treat) If you eat like this, and make smart choices with your meals, your metabolism will SURELY get revved up and help you lose weight even faster!!! 700 calories per day is starvation to your body and you will either not lose weight fast, or you'll lose weight too fast and your body will put it back on soon after you lose. Stay smart and be healthy! You should aim to lose 1-2 lbs per week. That is the safest rate of weight loss, and the rate that makes it most likely to keep it off long term!

Will working out everyday cause you to get bigger first before losing weight?

In order to really gain muscle size from weight training, you have to eat in excess of your maintenance calories, and lift heavy. Your genetics also play a role in how much muscle you will put on from weight lifting. If you're looking to simply lose weight, weight training is, in my opinion, a better choice than doing strictly cardio. This is because your muscles are then burning extra calories even at rest. Whereas when you do cardio, you are only burning extra calories during that cardio session. If you are trying to put on as much muscle as you can, and eating about 600-700 calories higher than your maintenance, then you will definitely get bigger, and not lose much fat, if any at all. You will probably even gain some fat in the process. However, when you decide to diet down after putting on some size, the extra muscle will help burning off extra calories. Just remember that exercise alone won't make you gain muscle or lose fat - diet is the most important. You need to eat according to your goals.
