You could start a lawn care business.

1. Have your parents show you how to properly use and take care of a lawnmower.
2. Get your parents permission to use the lawn mower.
3. Have your parents get you some business cards off Vistaprint.com . You can get 250 free if you pay for shipping. Save your allowance, birthday money, collect pop cans, run a lemonade stand, sell some of your toys. Get the business cards.
4. Go door to door in your neighborhood asking people if they would like to try your lawn service at an introductory rate. Give them 50% off.
5. Charge them around $10, and do a GOOD JOB mowing their lawn.
6. When you are done, ask them when they would like you to come back. They will either give a day, or say they will call you.
7. Give them a business card, and tell your price next time will only be $20.
8. If you don't hear from them in the next 3 weeks, go back to their house. Talk to them. When you go back, ask for referrals. Meaning, is there anyone else they know that might want their lawn mowed. Everyone knows someone. Let them know that you would be willing to do the lawn care for the 50% OFF again if they gave you 5 referrals.
9. Go talk to the referrals, and say "Hello! My name is __________. Mr. or Mrs. __________ told me you would be interested in a quote for lawn care. We have an introductory service, that is 50% Off! Let me get your quote together a minute." Fill in the blank with the last name of the person you are going to see.
10. Walk around the yard, and then tell them that your normal price is only $20. Since they would be a first time customer, they get their lawn cut for only $10. Then ask them if they would it done on Tuesday, or if Thursday would work better. This is called assuming the close. You are assuming they want your service, since you will do a great job and your price is fair.
11. If they tell you they will let you know, just say "Thanks for letting me give you a quote. Feel free to contact me anytime to get started."
12. Then move on to the next person on your list of referrals.
