Synyster Gates got his stage name on a late night drive with The Rev. He was drunk and he yelled out the car window, "My name is Synyster Gates and I am awesome!" His stage name has been Synyster Gates ever since.
Johnny Christ
Zacky Vengeance was the one who actually gave Johnny Christ his stage name, saying it fit him.
The Reverend Tholomew Plague (The Rev.)

∙ 13y agoThey collected money over the years with help from tour manager Valary DiBenedetto. They then went and recorded a 3 song demo and sent it to any record company you could think of. Goodlife Records took notice and signed them, but they had a measly $2000 to record a full album. After making StST, Hopeless records took notice and bought them from Goodlife along with their first album. On Hopeless, Avenged in my opinion made their best work yet. THEN after Waking The Fallen, Avenged was signed to Warner Bros. Records where they are still with today.
