Perhaps we could change the word Punishments to the word Blessings. If they had not transgressed the law you would not have been able to ask the question, and I would not have been able to give an answer.

1. They would be cast out of the presence of God.

2. They would eventually die.

3. Their bodies would be separated from their spirits.

4. They would have to grow their own food.

5. They would have to face the trials and tribulations of the world.

6. They would always be tempted by Satan.

7. Eve would suffer the pains of childbirth.

8. The animals would fear man.

When one thinks about it we have to be grateful to our first parents.

16 To the woman he said,

"I will make your pains in childbearing very severe;

with painful labor you will give birth to children.

Your desire will be for your husband,

and he will rule over you."

17 To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat from it,'

"Cursed is the ground because of you;

through painful toil you will eat food from it

all the days of your life.

18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you,

and you will eat the plants of the field.

19 By the sweat of your brow

you will eat your food

until you return to the ground,

since from it you were taken;

for dust you are

and to dust you will return."

Genesis 3:16-19

God also punished Adam and Eve by not letting them take the fruit from the Tree of Life (Genesis 3:22), and by banishing them out of the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:23-24).

They were banned from the garden of Eden. If they would eat from the tree they would become imperfect and die. Genesis 3:23,24" With that Jehovah God put him out of the garden of Eden to cultivate the ground from which he had been taken. And so he drove the man out and posted at the east of the garden the cherubs and the flaming blade of a sword that was turning itself continually to guard the way to the tree of life." Genesis 2:17" But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die." Genesis 3:16"I shall greatly increase the pain of your pregnancy, in birth pangs you will bring forth children."

They were kicked out of the perfect heaven and were placed to the unperfect earth as siners that's why when we are born we are baptised to wash away the sins that we have in our blood from them.

God cursed the serpent in Genesis 3:14. He said:

'And the Lord said unto the serpent, "Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life. And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."

To Eve, he said: (verse 16 of Genesis)

"I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee."

And to Adam he said: (verse 17 of Genesis)

"Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree...cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;"
