A man named Michael Faraday created and invented the Bunsen Burner, Robert Bunsen improved it by making the flame cleaner, hotter and non luminous. The Bunsen Burner was named after him, but that does not mean he made it.
He used to work in a German chemicals, and he liked making stuff, some people say that Robbert Bunsen did not make the Bunsen Burner, but there wrong he did
Trust me
Robert Wilhelm Bunsen is the "master" of Peter Desaga, the inventor of the Bunsen Burner. Being his assistant, Desaga had really learned a lot from Bunsen. Maybe they both tried to make a burner, but Bunsen didn't succeed. So when Desaga was able to create the burner properly, he named it in honor of his master because he acknowledges that he was able to make it through the knowledge he gained from being Mr. Bunsen's assistant.
That is only my theory. I am not sure as to what the real story is but I think my conclusion is quite near to the real story.
=)
why did robert bunsen get involved with the gas burnersb

The Bunsen burner was made by Peter Desaga but with some indications from Robert Bunsen.

He was a pioneer in Photo Chemistry and also in Organoarsenic chemistry
it doesn't have a meaning, Robert Bunsen created it so it was thought to him to call his invintion a Bunsen burner!
IN a cupboard but make sure there is a plastic basket and the Bunsen burner must be cooled before stored.
