SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) is believed to have started in China in 2002. It was first formally identified as a new viral strain in 2003 by World Health Organization's (WHO) Dr. Carlo Urbani who found it in a businessman who had recently been to China. The patient died of the disease and then later Dr. Urbani also died from the infection.

In 2003 WHO and other entities issued travel warnings, but the common frequent international travel of people contributed to the rapid spread of the viral disease and it was feared it would become a pandemic. WHO monitored the number of cases closely at that time and a total of 8000 cases were identified with 750 deaths. Then the incidence of the infection began to decrease, and by 2004 the number of cases world wide dropped to zero, so WHO stopped the tight monitoring, although it is still of interest to the public health community and medical providers.

SARS is caused by a virus in the family of coronaviruses, which is the family of common cold viruses that cause approximately 20% of all cases of the common cold.

This is up for debate;

Some people claim that the Obama administration transferred a large sum of money to the lab that Corona was said to come from to pay for the virus to be used as a weapon to impact the worldwide economy.

Others claim that it came from a bat that was not prepared properly for consumption.

Bat soup in a market in Wuhan China. It became super contagious and doctors knew nothing about the Coronavirus. COVID-19 took over the news, and spread to every continent except Antarctica. Everyone knows about it, well, except for a newborn baby. To stay safe from it, make sure you do your social-distancing by staying 6ft apart from the person beside you,in front of you, and behind you. Also, stay inside. Although we’re in quarantine, we’ll survive. If you’re sick, stay home. When will the Coronavirus crisis end? I mean, it can slow anytime! All I can say is, #staysafe #stayhome #coronavirus
