Saladin felt quite neutrally about the oposing side during the Crusades. Some people found it odd, but Saladin would send baskets of fruit and water over to Richard the Lion-Heart during their war. Saladin even gave King Richard some ice when he had a migrane from the intense heat of the Holy Land. Saladin wasn't as reckless and violent as King Richard the Lion-Heart, he was very peacful and as seen in the end of the 4th Crusade, Saladin and King Richard decided to commend to a treaty.
King Richard knew they were very alike. He respected that Saladin was an honorable man, doing what he can to fight for his religion. This was returned by Saladin, who actually gave fresh water and fruit to Richard when he fell ill during the third crusade. Saladin was portrayed as a great and honorable man in many European illuminated manuscripts, and the population of Europe respected him. Richard the Lionheart was respected by the Muslim population. It makes you wonder, why is there so much hate between us today?
Quakers feel that it is fundamentally wrong to wound or kill other people.

sometimes we feel depressed because we feel we can never do enough for a special or a ono-special person but we shouldn't because we need to understand you will feel like that but when you do you cant feel bad about yourself you have to feel confident and be strong because your you're own person and you shouldn't care what other people think about you
They played a big role IN the Crusades, but I'm not very sure that they actually affected the outcome. The assassins worked for Saladin, the Muslim King, and they would be sent out to attack Christian soldiers under cover. I can't imagine there were so many assassins as to play a major role in the Crusades and how they ended. Even if they did, the Muslim army probably played the most important role. Feel free to edit this, sorry for not being too accurate!

Considering that Jews were killed in numerous cities across Europe and the Middle East on account of the Crusades, they were not terribly fond of the fighting.
Other people.
Because knowing the background, causes, events and outcomes of past conflicts of such scale can help us - theoretically - to avoid repeating them. These things also give insight to how and why some people feel how they do. The Muslims see the Crusades in a very, very different light than Christians do.
