When Mr. Andropov replyed, in the last paragraph he invited her to the Soviet Union to visit. In her visit her visited many sights including the children's camp "artek". She was killed at only 13 with her father Arther in a plane crash it was a sad time for everyone. there was a book written "a visit to the soviet union" and Samantha was called America's youngest ambassador. Samantha in many citizens eyes is a world peacemaker at such a young age she is defiantly is a peacemaker.Samantha is being researched by many children in elementary grades especially grade 6 for a peacemaker project ( That's Me ) and Samantha is a perfect example of a peacemaker. So if you are doing at anytime a peace maker project do Samantha Reed Smith and yes, she defiantly is famous.
