The name memorializes the fierce fighting style of the South Carolina Line's famous Second Line Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel, and Brigadier General. Its use most famously takes in such Revolutionary War British Generals as Banastre Tarleton (August 21, 1754 - January 15, 1833) -- after the Battle of Blackstock's Farm of November 20, 1780 -- and Charles Cornwallis (December 31, 1738 - October 5, 1805).
