William won The Battle of Hastings because he had more Knights than Harold that were on horses with axes, he travels on a boat so he wasn't tired but Harold walked all the way instead of waiting for William's army to come to them and William had more people on his side than Harold did because Harold forgot to pay his army for helping him win the battle so some people left in anger for not getting payed.
He won because of multiple things:
To beat Harold, he would fake retreat, and then Harold's army would follow them. Then he would turn around, and beat up the English. He did this twice before the army fell.
Also, he had cavalry, which were very effective against infantry(which was most of the English army).
William won due to good leadership, good preparation and luck.
Yes William showed amazing determination during the Battle of Hastings. He showed it through his leadership skills as was able to keep his troops fighting and not give up. He also kept fighting the Battle getting stronger and stronger as soon as Harold Godwinson was killed (With an arrow in the eye) William knew Harolds army would soon surrender!
Some of William the Conqueror's victories were; the Battle of Hastings (1066), the Battle of Val-ès-Dunes (1047), the Battle of Mortemer (1054 - not personally there) and the Battle of Varaville (1057).
