Wait!!Wisconsin NEVER owned ANY part of the U.P. Michigan Owned From What is Now Drummond Island to the Munising area, the rest was owned by no state but the Northwest then Indiana territory and then the U.S. government and then during the Toledo war in exchange for the Toledo Strip (it went to the then STATE of Ohio) Michigan received the rest of the U.P. After all this happened Wisconsin then became a state.(after Michigan)
