Throughout the years of Europe's Exitence the languages hve evolved. Todat there are two writing forms in Europe both derived from the Greek. The Romans spread their revised system known as Latin, which is the writing system used in many non-latin originated languages such as Swedish, German, Dutch, Finish, Norwegian and Icelandic. Greek language spread the alphabet to Russia, Bulgaria and other Balkan States which today use Cyrilic.

Because of Greek/Russian conquests Greek and Cyrilic is spoken in Eastern Europe

Because of German/Austrian Conquests and control, German and Germanic Languages are spoken in Eastern Europe and in Central Europe as well as traces which eist in England

Because of Roman Conquests, Latin languages spread in regions of Western Europe such as France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and partially to England as well.

Gaelic conquests spread to Scotland and Ireland and Wales

Scandinavian is an offshoot of Germand and Russian languages

England is a weird country because the country was founded by the Saxons, a germanic group of settlers who were conquered by the Romans (latin based settlers) following them the Nordics came to England who spoke french and German (latin and germanic languages) so today English is one of the most adoptive languages because in its founding it has three ancestrial fathers not to mention the minor influences of Gaelic so four ancestrial fathers..
