Peoples everyday lives were improving during the late 1800's. They went from simple, unadvanced ways to much better and more convenient ways. An explosion in inventions

affected business and people. People used to depend on candles for light at night, but then the lightbulb was invented. People could have light whenever they wanted without being worried about lighting their houses on fire. Refrigeration was invented, making lives healthier since food now could be stored in iceboxes rather and eating semi-spoiled foods that were only kept good with salt. The only way to communicate longer distances was through the Pony Express, but now telegrams were able to reach hundreds of miles away faster through Morse codes.
