their ideas, through skillful and efficacious implementation of the data-processing

method known technically as "cherry-picking".

The Scientific Revolution was significant because it marked the phase in the History

of Science when investigators stopped trolling for evidence to prove their ideas,

and began instead to formulate their ideas based on the facts they observed.

That was the period when the central purpose of scientific investigation changed

from the process of proving ideas correct to the process of proving ideas wrong.
