When we look at the classical gods and goddesses of antiquity, whether from Egypt, the Norse or even the Mesopatamian gods, we see one common thing. Perfection. Th gods were the perfect dieties, and man were to strive to be like them. In face, the Pharohs of Egypt were consideredto be perfect, because they were anointed kings of the Sun God Ra. Much like the Christian, Jewish, and Islamic faith were kings of Europe were annointed by a perfect god.

Greek Gods, however, perfection is far from true. The Gods held the flaws of men, including uglyness, emotions, lust, greed, jealousy, ect. Unlike the Egypitan Gods, the Greek gods often fought over terf, ruling rights, marriages, and other Humanly worries. This focus on imperfection was ment to tell morals and stories to the humans about the :ideal of perfection:. In Ancient Greece perfection was doing one's best and being witty enough to avoid angering the other gods...

Greek Gods were representations of forces of nature: Zeus, thunderstorms; Aphrodite, love; Ares, war; etc.
