You would have to go to the source material The Gospel of Matthew Mark Luke and John to read this. You will see that the first three are roughly similar - they begin with stories of Jesus birth and continue with parables, stories of healing and eventually his death on the cross and resurrection. The Gospel of John is different as it was written later and is an intimate reflection on who Jesus said he was. It includes statements that do not occur in the other gospels, and in many ways it is a deeper and richer account. Many people doubt its accuracy as an historical record but it does not conflict with the other gospels so much as add a whole new depth to enable us to understand them.

∙ 12y agoThe evangelist, or rather "the evangelists", portrayed Jesus in many ways - there are many evangelists both in the Old Testament and in the New Testament - but there is one thing in common in all their portrayals - He is both the Creator and the Saviour of the world.
