Rosa Parks was not jailed for years. She was arrested on December 1, 1955, taken to jail, and released on bail the next day.
At the time of her arrest, Rosa Parks and her husband were members of the NAACP, and Rosa was a secretary for the Montgomery chapter. Edgar Nixon, the local president of the NAACP was called and he and her lawyer, Clifford Durr, bailed her out the next day.

She was polite and very caring. She loved children including Dana. A girl who lived next door fro her house. She would always cheak if Rosa Parks was okay. Even thought Rosa never had children she was always loving and caring!
