New Zealand, was not really affected after WWI. They lost a few soldiers, but nothing devasating happened to them

Actually, in proportion to the other Allied countries, New Zealand lost the most men. New Zealand had 103,000 men serve overseave, from a population of just over a million. 185000 men were killed, and 50000 were wounded. This not only altered the Demographics of the population majorly, but meant that the New Zealand government had to look after a huge group of men who were either physically wounded, psychologically traumatised or both - this was something they'd never been faced with before. There were other major affects on the country, in terms of the economy and the forming of NZ identity as her own nation, not just a British Colony. Check out NZHistoryOnline, they've got heaps on it. :)
