The US government learned not to be so isolationist. They had a new enemy after the war: Communism. They built a better military, better military weapons, planes and ships. They also learned to treat the wounded better. The American public also learned not to be so isolationist, that people groups can commit terrible atrocities, that they can forgive their enemies and they can work together to win a war. The women found out they can work at manly jobs and earn a salary. This eventually led to women's liberation movement and to women owning Fortune 500 size companies or running for a presidential seat.

Before World War One, the United States of America had an isolation policy. This meant that they did not involve themselves in any international affairs or wars. However after World War One, there was a massive shift in their policy and they eliminated their isolation policy.
