Composition: The floor consists of an under layer of cement concrete in ratio of 1:2:4(1 part of cement: 2 parts of coarse sand: 4 parts of graded stone aggregate 12.5 mm nomi…nal size). Its thickness depends on size of marble chips used. Under Layer Cement concrete mixture should be used for under layer. The panels should be of uniform size. In exposed situations, length of any side of the panel should not be more than 1.25m. Terrazzo Restoration A terrazzo floor is the same as any concrete slab with a few exceptions. It is often placed over a concrete slab in a thin layer, from a half to three quarters of an inch in thickness. It is seeded with with colored marble chips on the surface while the mix is fresh, and the chips are seated in during the floating or troweling process. After the mixture hardens, the polishing process begins. Large floor grinding machines using diamond chip impregnated cutters polish the surface in steps from coarse to fine. You now have a beautiful terrazzo floor, but highly susceptible to staining. Most contractors place one or two layers of sealers on the finish but this is not enough. In a school system where I performed this installation, we had to take great precautions to protect the floors. Then, upon occupying, the school personnel stripped off the sealer and applied multiple layers of floor wax per manufacturer's recommendations. Therefore, in order to restore a terrazzo floor one must first strip and clean all waxes, sealers, dirt and grime. Then you have to consider whether repolishing the surface will remove stains and imperfections which sometimes penetrate very deep into the surface. Then, if repolishing won't do it, you must consider removing the floor and reinstalling it. But before I did that, I would aggressively clean the surface and then do a proper job putting down layers of floor wax. Often the sheen from this procedure, especially after a thorough cleaning of the old floor, will conceal most imperfections. See the related link(s) listed below for more information:
Cleaning terrazzo floors Traditionally known as Strip, Seal and Wax.. Terrazzo is two parts marble chips in one part portland cement, 5/8" thick and ground to an 80 grit fi…nish. Wax and acrylic finishes have been used to seal and gloss terrazzo for the last 50 years. For the past ten years a new improved more environmental friendly process has been developed. No need for any type of sealent, polishing to the original stone finish looks feels and cleans better then the traditional strip seal and wax method. To get more information on this process and service visit boylanmarblerestoration.com we eliminate all the steps to come. Removing the old finish is the first step. Floor strippers (strong detergents) are available in hardware stores, janitorial supplys and tool rental outlets where you may rent floor scrubing machines along with all the accessories. Once the floor has been stripped, you will find stains that require more attention. A strong hydrogen peroxide will bleach organic and mineral stains. If you are removing carpets, do not pull the tackstrip nails or drive them into the floor. In most cases, the nails are aluminum and will sheer off with a hammer and sharp chisle. Steal nails must be cut off using a grinder with a thin blade.. Resealing and waxing by mopping on four thin coats of acrylic finish will give you a good foundation. Now you will be cleaning the finish not the floor. Use cleaners sparingly. Periodicly, remove the top coat and reapply another thin coat.
Answer . I would use ice cubes for the glue and toilet bowl cleaner for the yellow stain. Depending on the stain there are different steps. But I will assume that you are …talkin about the stain from the glue. You can take a stripper to the floor to remove the glue. From there you will need to either polish it or wax it. If it is a high traffic area I would not suggest waxing. As this will need to be done often. The more wax you apply the worse it will be to strip it later and do it the right way. The process for polishing it is rather easy. You do need to know some basics though. How to run a floor machine or as most people call it a buffer. They have these relatively new pads that make the process easier than it was in the past. HTC makes a brand called TWISTER. They are diamond embedded. Basically you start with your red pad then white then yellow then green. They can be used dry but it is better to do it wet. Cuts down on the dust and does give it a better finish in the end. Obviously it is harder than it sounds from reading this so getting a professional involved may be your best option.
I have spoken to a builder friend about this as we are wanting to remove our old terrazzo floor in the bathroom. He said you would need to jackhammer it out.... i am a little …hesitant as the bathroom is on the 2nd floor of our home with hardwood floors beneath.. i have time to spend on it as we have another functional bathroom in the house, so i am planning on using a hammer and chisel to get it up.....

First off, you need to find a wax stripping product, one that is designed for terrazo floors. You can use that to clean the floor. Removing the wax isn't a big deal when you c…arefully follow the instructions. After that, use water to wash off the traces and residues of the wax-stripping product. You can dry the floor after that. Next, you can apply the terrazo floor sealer. This is a helpful step as doing that can help in protecting the unsightly stains. Once the sealer is applied you can let it to dry completely. Do not apply too much as one thin coat is enough to get the job done. It is important to keep the dust away from the flooring because the quality of dust can result in scratches. So you need to sweep the floor regularly using a dust map or a broom. Also, get a dust cleaner that has neutral pH. Along with a cleaner, combine 3 gallons of water. Apply the mixture on the floor and let it be there for a few minutes. Rinse the mixture and rinse the floor until there are no map lines seen. Once the floor is mopped entirely, prepare the buffing machine and then use it on the floor.

I used to put a layer of paper towels down on the stain, then drip bleach straight from the bottle on the towels until the towels were soaked all the way through. Let them sit… on the floor for about 5-10 minutes then wipe them up.
The best way to stain bathroom floor cabinets is to first sand the wood. After that, apply the wood conditioner, then the stain and finally apply the finish.
