I am 18, my parents are strict Muslim and I have respect for the religion but don't follow it strictly. I'm not religious at all actually. My friends were looking for roommates for a house on campus that we would be able to get by the end of next month and I would like to move in with them because my family life at home isn't so great. My parents are always fighting and they have strict rules. I'm never allowed to leave home unless I am going to school but even for that I have to be on the next bus back home after class. They are physically, verbally and mentally abusive if things don't go their way, to an extreme level. I considered calling the police multiple times because I did not feel safe in any way but decided against it because it would make things worse. I have a summer job so I could pay my expenses and I also get financial aid from school to pay for tuition and rent. How do I leave? Do I involve police because if I try to leave they will just beat me again. Also, what do I need to bring to where I move (i.e. passport, id)?

They're afraid you'll sneak out of the house to do bad things. Usually, parents are strict because they don't trust their children not to misbehave.
This could be a dream about maturity. Your house probably represents your life, so seeing your parents leaving could be your mind's way of showing that as you have become more mature, your parents play a less important roll in your life.
no, you may take your parents to court for an emancipation plea, you must have reasonable proof to show the judge that leaving your parents house would be the better alternative

Unless they have been legally emancipated by the court, they are a runaway - and can be classified a Child In Need of Supervision if it is done continually.
No. Adoption laws are strict. The court or parents must first legally sever parental ties before an adoption can take place.
Some parents are EXTREMELY strict and feel dating is "inappropriate for children".Second ResponseOnce you're 18, you're legally an adult and are allowed to date though, and your parents can't force you out of it-althogh they can kick you out of the house for it :/
The House of Representatives has much stricter rules than the Senate (mostly because the House has so many more members that without strict rules, it would be almost impossible to accomplish anything).
that's about 40 dollars a week. do this around your house for your parents. and ask your neighbors for odd jobs.... raking leaving, cutting grass. house sitting ect.......
"You were leaving the house the door had to be locked" is a run-on sentence because it is really two sentences without proper punctuation. This should read, "You were leaving the house. The door had to be locked."
